Good morning from South Lanarkshire. It’s been so cold further last few days, we now have a smattering of snow.

I’m sorry that your plans for your Golden Wedding celebrations have been spoiled by your sons’ falling out LLFL, I would feel the same way though. Very sad.

Hope you feel better soon Bella.

I had a fairly lazy day yesterday. We certainly don’t make a big deal of Valentine’s Day but we always exchange cards. We did laugh yesterday though as, not for the first time, we gave each other the same card.

Today will be Mass and DH will watch the rugby, yesterday we celebrated the victories of both our countries of birth. 🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿smile

Wishing everyone the best day possible. Hugs to all those who are struggling.

Good morning all from a chilly, sodden North Leicestershire.

We expect DD2 and family to arrive around lunchtime for a couple of nights. We haven't seen them for quite a while so will enjoy a good catch up.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire where we are forecast sun, rain and a gentle breeze.

We have free electricity today so lots of laundry and tumble drying will be done.DH is going to defrost the freezer before we fill it up tomorrow.

We feel the same about our garden Greyduster😢

Hoping all is well with Pantglas.

Thoughts to all in the sick bay and all with mountains to climb.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩

Good morning from a wet W Kent. Awful night with indigestion after a hot curry I think my curry nights may be over. Quite day and less food.
Bella and llfl hope you feel better soon
Best wishes

It's not a small thing though llfl is it? My sons are chalk and cheese and I'd be gutted if they fell out. I remember when you first mentioned it and can't believe it's been two years.

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a murky, very cold South Yorkshire. We are not likely to see the sun today. Yesterday’s blue sky is already a distant memory.

I cut my roses down yesterday. I’m hopeless at pruning so they will have to take their chances as always. There is a lot of work to be done in the garden this year and I’m not sure I’m up to a lot of it now. If anything drives me out of this house, it will be the garden.

DS is coming down to spend the day with me today. I shall cook a roast dinner. Hopefully we may get a chance to stretch our legs this afternoon.

Have a good day folks.

Good morning from a damp, still, quiet Cornwall. From today First Buses have closed their depots and withdrawn completely from the county, with Transport for Cornwall taking over. It's a big upheaval for bus travellers but I look forward to exploring via new routes. One of my family works for the new company and I believe the service will be better than before.

Anyway, at lunchtime I'll new-bus it to my son's whence I'll be whisked to the north coast to watch my granddaughter's riding lesson. Thank you for your caring comments about her hockey injury. I'll see later how it is.

Yesterday I sorted one of my tool boxes but got bored trying to decide what to keep and what to discard so I have that task to finish. I met my younger son for coffee in Café Nero. It was lovely to catch up with him but it's a shame the café allows yapping dogs. I was a bit lack-lustre due to double antibiotics for a seized-up jaw infection but still enjoyed it and managed to eat a muffin with a teaspoon, posting it through my limited jaws in tiny bits. 😂

Good morning from Sheffield

Another dismal day,we are to have snow later by all accounts

We had a wander around a local market town yesterday, not a lot of shops but the ones there were nice and different. We found a lovely cafe with very good coffee

DH has been losing weight( on purpose) and we found a nice new coat for him. Half price in a sale so he is very pleased with that

Not sure what to do today, it’s so cold and blustery. I might find some indoor jobs to do rather than going out

Take care everyone flowers

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It’s feels a little cold but there isn’t any frost,

I won’t be going to church this morning. I still have a dreadful cold. The cough is beginning to clear but my cold is appalling.

We didn’t have our special Valentine meal yesterday (apart from the chocolate) so we’ll do it today.

I’ve had too much time to think about my son’s falling out. It will be two years soon. I suppose what I’m particularly sad about is that we won’t be having a family Golden Wedding celebration in May. I told OH that we would only do that if we’re all there. I know it’s just a small thing if we look at the state of the world currently. Anyway.

Have a good day.

Good morning all. We had a very windy night and it is still blowing now.
I have just put two lemon meringue pies in the oven ready for family dinner this evening , a celebration for DH s birthday last week and MILs tomorrow.
Homemade Lasagne for mains which I took out of the freezer last night.
I’m out at 9.30 to meet with my scrapbooking pals but will leave a little early.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning all from the Angus coast. I'm at a pottery away weekend, staying with a friend. Yesterday's sunshine was a joy but I fear snow today as I'll be driving south this afternoon.

We were thrilled here to hear the rugby result!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Bellasnanna

I shall read your news later.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone from a dry-so-far south coast and it's not as cold as yesterday was. The sun was lovely though!

Just struggled to put a clean pillowcase on my new v-shaped pillow. Not easy with a dodgy left arm/shoulder and the design of the case doesn't help. It really needs a zip right across the top edge.

More household chores await this morning and expecting the usual video call from DD at some point. She and her partner are off on holiday to Ecuador, in March so they are busy planning lots of exciting trips there. They love their long haul, exotic (to us) holidays.

Kind thoughts of all our GNs who are struggling with worries, health issues or sadness. I hope the day brings some ease and improvement.

Good morning from a drizzly Torbay following a fine day yesterday with quite a few hours of sunshine.

There was a good turnout for the Coffee Morning and we won a bottle of Merlot in the raffle! DH had hoped for a pasty from a nearby bakery but it was closed so we enjoyed lunch at a nearby bistro which was an unexpected treat!

Today I’m the accompanist for the early service again. At my request, some fairly easy hymns have been chosen! Unfortunately, I haven’t slept well but no doubt I’ll cope.

I hope whatever you do today brings you joy. A blessed Sunday to all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

I’m so sorry, bellas. Tail end of ‘flu? Or new germs generously donated by DGSs?
Look after yourself! 🫂

Good morning from Malta where it seems we are to have a wet, windy day with a high of 14°C.

I didn’t go out yesterday but got a lot of jobs done, changed the sheets and did some laundry.

Had a lovely long FaceTime with DD2 and DGD in the US. I miss them so much. It’s over three years since I saw them in person.

I’ve woken up feeling not very well, headache, nausea, still coughing and have a stuffed up nose so I think I will stay put for now.

Wishing you all a good day. Thoughts with the FGTs as always.🙏🏻

Good morning from a wet Bristol. Lots of cold wind and rain today after yesterday’s sunny if cold day.
The vicar wants a great deal of bunting to celebrate the church’s centenary this year. I was given some fabric to cut out. I made 100. I don’t know how many the organiser wants, she just left envelopes with fabric and a template in the church. I’ll probably offer to sew some up.
The afternoon was spent trying finish a beanie and also the quilt.
A shame that England lost the Calcutta cup yesterday. DH always watched the game. DS told me that coincidentally the cricket team was playing in Calcutta, I hope that they are doing better there.
Church this morning, then my upstairs (Tesco) neighbour has invited me to lunch in her flat. No dinner to make!
May all the mountaineers have a peaceful, day, especially fgt.

Good morning from a wet, chilly spot in south Glos where it’s just about 1° at the moment.
Yesterday morning’s glorious sunshine was so welcome, we walked the dogs as the sun rose.
I had 5 hours of zoom art class, really enjoyed it as usual, although I have mixed feelings about the end result!
I felt really cold after sitting so long, I hadn’t put the heater on, and it took me a while to warm up again.
Nothing much planned today, more crocheting later I expect 😊
Best wishes to everyone 🌹

Good Morning Everyone,
On this dark, but dry at the moment6 here in Brackley this morning.
A day indoors , I did suffer yesterday in the cold wind as I walked into it, but I recovered .
I wanted to watch some cycling on TV from Spain events washed out weather wise.
Health OK but taking extra care,
