Celery is one for me and also those tiny little corn cobs you get in Chinese cuisine. The other day I had a jackfruit smoothie. Yuck, sounds nice, tastes vile.

oysters, caviar, squid, octopus, shellfish, farmed salmon

and eggs, cooked any way, make me heave

Yoghurt. The devil's spit.

Any kind of offal. Shellfish, in fact most fish, though I do eat it because I know is good for me.

Yoghurt. The devil's spit.

I feel the same way. Also Mayo - too similar to cat sick.

I wouldn't know. I've never eaten cat sick.

During Covid I was gifted some burgers made with jackfruit.
No one in the family had heard if it.
They were so horrible that one bite from each of us was enough.
I don’t like sweet potato in any form or curry, however mild.
Most other food is fine and luckily I don’t have allergies.
My GD’s BF lives with us now and he has a nut allergy, I now have to read every food label and when I go out to eat with them the first thing is to inform and get a special menu.
How lucky are we who can ,for the most part, just eat anything and enjoy without restrictions.

Peppers, but I like chilli, seafood in shells, snails, raw fish including smoked salmon.

I recently had an epic fail with Orzo.

Mushrooms.

I actually wonder if they are even supposed to be eaten at all.

nanna8 Wed 18-Feb-26 10:10:41

I don’t like mayo much, either but I do love yoghurt and oysters. On Christmas Day we had loads of oysters as an entree ,plain with lemon juice. They are quite expensive, unfortunately.

Usedtobeblonde Wed 18-Feb-26 10:19:19

I also failed with Orzo, it just didn’t soften as pasta should.
Into the bin it went.

Greyduster Wed 18-Feb-26 10:20:21

Okra, oysters, monkfish, octopus, pilchards, prawns, Special K and recently, mushrooms.

Gymstagran Wed 18-Feb-26 10:21:13

Cottage cheese and avocados ughhh

Kate1949 Wed 18-Feb-26 10:21:59

Prawns, oysters, runny eggs of any description, belly pork. I agree re the baby sweetcorns.

tanith Wed 18-Feb-26 10:26:37

Octopus, the smell of garlic makes me 🤢 but I’m sure I’ve eaten it without knowing, anchovy, avocados, olives, sadly peppers I’ve tried to like them but no.

NannyPT Wed 18-Feb-26 10:29:36

Kiwi fruit

MaizieD Wed 18-Feb-26 10:32:01

At my first (and only attempt to eat oysters I thought they were disgusting; a slimy mouthful of salt water you were supposed to swallow whole... I suspect I'd be perfectly OK with them cooked but they don't come my way anyway grin

Yoghurt is much as previously described...

I don't care for squid either, it's like eating tasteless elastic bands but I could get it down if necessary.

Mushy peas 🤮

Fallingstar Wed 18-Feb-26 10:33:47

Agree with runny eggs when the white is all snotty, also rocket, it is soooo bitter.

Ziplok Wed 18-Feb-26 10:38:26

Beetroot.

MaizieD Wed 18-Feb-26 10:39:21

Oh, goodness, yes, I forgot them. Runny eggs are just horrible. They make me gag. I have to have the whole lot hard, including the yolk.

Casdon Wed 18-Feb-26 10:43:36

Tea. Yuck, yuck yuck. Cucumber, melon, gnocchi, any shellfish that is slimy, venison, which just tastes too strong for me. I also don’t get why people enjoy sushi, it’s edible, but I’m not fussed on cold rice or raw fish so I’d never choose it.

Grandmabatty Wed 18-Feb-26 10:44:01

Any kind of shellfish. Tomato ketchup. Snails.
I've tried them all and nope

CariadAgain Wed 18-Feb-26 10:54:38

Tea. Root vegetables (only too thankful people don't often serve up things like parsnips and turnips).

Anything with sugar in it (or, even more so, artificial sweeteners). Sugar - why would I waste so many calories on something that's not going to give me anything (vitamins, minerals, etc).

I wouldnt eat things like tripe, lobster or game (though I don't eat meat anyway and it's highly annoying when someone cba and accidentally or "accidentally" expects me to eat some). Just as well not to eat meat for the next couple of years anyway...until halal/kosher meat is abolished.

Blue cheese, smoked cheese. Things cooked in a lot of fat or oil - again = fattening calories for nothing.

Junk food generally.

Minced beef in most dishes .
I hate it and dread being offered shepherds pie or spaghetti bolognese and worst of all - chilli con carne .
It's served so frequently at most functions that I go to.
