World falling apart around you? Ex-husband arrested? Here's the answer

I've started a new thread because the existing AMW thread is dealing with the loftier side of things.

"I haven't got any money" seems to be a phrase that means different things to different folk.

It's reported that allegedly, Sarah Ferguson is experiencing deep personal trauma. Apparently homeless and with no known source of regular income she has ...

"...spent a few days with friends in the French Alps and is now thought to be in the United Arab Emirates".

Life's a bitch isn't it?

She is now in the Swiss Alps, staying in a hotel @ £13000 a day. I actually don’t believe it, but it’s there online.

One day - more than the annual state pension for the majority of pensioners. It’s impossible to articulate how this makes me feel.

I think there is either a ) too many or a decimal point is missing. It might also be Euros not £s.

Saying 'It is online' proves absolutely nothing. David Ike posts online.

Monica - I actually think that it really doesn’t matter about accuracy in this particular instance. She’s been a spendthrift for decades and £13000or £1300 or £ or € is actually neither here nor there. It’s disgusting

Tuliptree Sat 21-Feb-26 22:32:00

Well here’s the link to the website where she has apparently been. And it is about £13,000 a night - there’s a special 4 week package and it’s 90,000 Swiss francs a week. Of course we don’t know for sure she’s been there but it fits doesn’t it? I think some posters are a bit naive about exactly what sort of spendthrift she is

And here’s SF in her own words ( not sources close to) talking about her stay there - so yes Monica. £13,000 a night . But Tbf they probably gave her a discount ( or whoever’s paying her bill) for the free advertising. But on second thoughts, what business would want to advertise having her as a customer?

Monica - I actually think that it really doesn’t matter about accuracy in this particular instance. you've actually said the quiet part out loud TulipTree! You don't care about accuracy as long as it endorses your viewpoint. What makes that attitude expressed by you any different to Trump, Farage etc who share your attitude?

Well Rosie you’ll see that I’ve checked out the story and the facts are as originally posted ( not by me) but doubted by Monica. And oh dear, bringing in Trump, Farage - you are cutting me to the very quick. Please please don’t do it again - my fragile ego will not be able to bear it. Never mind. The very fact that SF could even go to a place like that at either £1300 a night or £13000 a night is a disgrace. But anyway we know now. £13, 000 ( less a discount for advertising)

Rosie51 Sat 21-Feb-26 23:59:03

The point is you didn't care about the truth or accuracy as you clearly said. That you've since checked is neither here nor there, you announced your indifference to truth and accuracy. That's exactly the same as Trump and Farage and you can mock, play the fool as much as you like, it should be obvious to all where your 'moral' code resides and it's in the same ball park as them.

Somebody is paying the bill for SF, just as all the other guests are paying. Are you wanting to pass comment on them too? I don't approve of her as an individual but if her stay is legal and paid for what business is it of mine?

The corgis are in a luxury dog hotel (away from prying eyes) could some of the money from the go fund me page be used for the fees?

Grantanow Sun 22-Feb-26 08:18:27

£13,000 a day and she stayed from before Xmas to the end of January. She must have a magic money tree.

sixandahalf Sun 22-Feb-26 08:47:41

That is more than my annual pension. What a freeloader.

Maybe I'll write a book about a helicopter.

HelterSkelter1 Sun 22-Feb-26 08:51:43

I wonder what on earth you get for 13000.00. Apart from immense security. They probably both know a bit too much not to worry about their own personal safety.

eazybee Sun 22-Feb-26 09:33:19

I doubt if she will ever be able to go there again; they will know no-one is available to pick up the bill, because she has nothing left to offer, only threats.

TerriBull Sun 22-Feb-26 09:37:44

How to make one's money worries even worse, check into a £13,000 A DAY shock wellness centre, more like a sick in the wallet centre. I can't imagine how any such establisment can cost so much. It just adds fuel to the fire, either more profligacy or entitled freeloading.

Chestnut Sun 22-Feb-26 10:02:21

Lots of details here. She seems pretty broken but then you hear that she's got her head in the sand, is in denial and ignoring it all, so who knows.

My eyes, my eyes 🤦🏼‍♀️

After reading the article, linked above by Chestnut, I can only conclude that the woman is completely delusional.

She apparently talked about their excellence in dealing with mental health issues -

'particularly those whose struggles are often hidden behind the facade of a public role.’

What public role? She doesn't have a public role, nor does she have any discernable skills or talents that could be used to develop a public role. Clearly she both thinks she has, and desires, a public role.

She has public infamy and derision, but I suspect that's not quite what she meant.

Like or not like the Royals, Diana was canny and shrewd enough - and liked enough - to carve out some sort of a meaningful public role for herself before her untimely death. Ferguson never had that likeability factor or was clever enough to do so. And she was never going to be the Mother of the future heir either.

Oreo Sun 22-Feb-26 10:25:43

According to the link ( and who knows if it’s true or not) SF spent a few weeks at the ‘retreat’ and then moved to somewhere in the French Alps then UAE.Where she is now is anyone’s guess.Staying out of the UK for a long time will be likely.
She has a lot of wealthy friends so may never return here.
However you feel about her and her lifestyle it’s understandable that she feels cowed and unhappy.

But she is going to ‘sound broken’ isn’t she? And she may well be and if so, so what? VG is dead and many other women broken by her friend. There will be a celebrity therapist somewhere in the mix herd giving her coaching on how to sound convincingly broken.

I read that one daughter is skiing and the other is in New York at a party recently. They seem oblivious to it all.

There’s such a thing as putting on a front.

Tuliptree Sun 22-Feb-26 10:46:19

And there’s such a thing as not putting on anything and just staying home and out of sight. This isn’t a ‘front’ it’s putting up two fingers to us all.

Usedtobeblonde Sun 22-Feb-26 10:49:05

I don’t agree with much you say Tuliptree but I do agree with that.

Not oblivious, trying to keep a distance from it.

I cannot imagine a more horrible position to be in than to find that your parents whom you love and who love you have been up to all the sheninigans that AMW and SF have been involved - and, of course to be in the public eye as they are.

The 2 Princesses have had no involvement with Epstein except a lunch organised by their mother.

I thnk , in the circumstances the best they can do, is exactly what they have done, kept well out of the way and got on with their ordinary family and work lives.

However, behind the scenes I bet every methid of communication is working over time around the family and with Buckingham Palalce.
