And another thing that annoys me is I have a few people that I follow on FB that slag off the UK and happy to remind us why they left - then the next thing they are saying they are coming back to the UK for their smear tests, breast check, dentist appt etc - now that really winds me up

That is surprising but they must be in a minority as the health care in many European countries is the equal of better than the UK.

Maybe the language? I understand that.
Part of my job I forgot to mention, as a translator, was being on the list to accompany English speaking patients for hospital appointments and stays.
When you're dealing with something as important as your health, even tests, maybe people want explanations from a UK medic? Several I know did pop "home" for procedures, paying privately.

I think there are some who have a skewed view of GB because they left it many years ago. Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion but that doesn't mean that they are correct.

Who waffles on about migrants ? Never seen that on here. Without migrants most countries would go under. Maybe except Japan but I think they are in trouble because they need more migrants to survive.

Ex-pats we know. Constantly banging on about how the UK is being ruined by migrants, completely failing to see that that’s precisely what they are.

What country are these people living in? I never hear that in Normandy.
And how do people know so many people who have these views? I wouldn't have them as friends.
