Good Morning Everyone,
Dark and dry outside here in Brackley this morning.
Hope its a better day weather-wise , but the usual routine with going into Bicester to shop and maybe chat to people I know.
My health is OK.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and Alexa tells me it’s 11°C later. Apparently it will rain tonight at 10pm there’s accuracy for you (if correct!).

I’ve an appointment over at the salon mid morning to have my brows shaped and lashes curled (so you can see them) and tinted. That’ll be a first for me, I’ll let you know whether the expense was worth it 😁

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 4° but sunny.

I want to put in an offer on a house so have written emails to agent and solicitor.

Went for a walk yesterday in hills around 40 mins drive from here and enjoyed an excellent coffee in a Scandinavian café afterwards. Expensive but good.

Today I have pottery to finish and more housework. Gaelic class tonight.

I'm glad your DH is healing Baubles but it must be frustrating all the waiting in hospital for attention.

I don't think WI is for me gMattie I prefer mixed groups who don't care what sex you are.

Hoping everyone has some joy today.

Marydoll Tue 10-Mar-26 07:51:11

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 6¤C.

Dragonfly, I hope you find some relief and Baubles, that your DH"s wound starts to heal The District Nurse is still checking DIL's wound on a daily basis. 😪

My pain levels have gone through the roof and I am finding it difficult to focus.
My R.A has flared up badly and I have had little sleep.
To cap it all, I have the dentist today, to be prepped for a crown. Not exactly something to look forward to.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and everybody from bright and dry Carlisle.
Yesterday was a gloomy, sunless day with light showers keeping it damp. I stayed in cleaning until lunchtime when I got a call from the surgery to say a referral letter was ready for collection so I nipped out and collected it. Today's job will be to ring the hospital for an appointment for a bone scan. I shall be very relieved to find my bones are normal and not thinned out by age and steroids.

I have to be out again shortly, my new glasses are ready, I hope I still like the frames, I hate choosing new ones.
It will be back to admin, which is piling up and I'd like to find time to be out in the garden.

Best wishes to all.

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk, such a delight after the last few misty, damp ones. DH and I will enjoy the dog walk this morning rather than it being something that must be done.

I have a dental appt this morning and the surgery moved into the first floor of our doctor’s. I fear that parking, which has always been easy, may be a bit more crowded now.

We haven’t had a vegetable garden here for along time but when we did, around here it was the tradition to plant seed potatoes on Good Friday. Given what a movable feast that is,they always flourished and fed the family for most of the year as they stored very well.

Morning all from a grey looking West Oxfordshire.

Annoyingly I was up every couple of hours in the night to go to the loo. I will have to drink extra water throughout the day to try and clear whatever might be wrong.

I had a fun afternoon yesterday at my neighbour’s craft group. We made cane toppers for the garden out of femo.

Today I am seeing friends after lunch. OH has his Shooting club this evening.

The Honey for Sale sign in our garden was taken down yesterday! OH has very few jars left and has put aside jars for the family and a couple of U3A friends. The local pub still have some for sale - he took a batch round last month. All being well there should be honey from his bees in June.

Our WI has handed out the new form and I will update the data base. I haven’t actually seen the form as I couldn’t attend the last meeting. I don’t think we have any trans ladies in our group, but you never know.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all and the mist has cleared but it’s rather grey here in Essex.

This morning the dog has her yearly vaccination , so I hope the school traffic has died down. I’ll see Dd for a coffee and I have Bridge this afternoon.

Take care all 🌱

Buenos Dias again from an overcast Aguilas, where we are mow at our second hotel.
We are now further south, in the Murcia region, having had a good journey down yesterday, including a lunch stop in Murcia city and some free time which was excellent.
A panoramic coach trip this morning then this afternoon is free.
We arrived at our hotel to find we are sharing it with a large party of school teenagers - from Derby! They are very well behaved and the teachers are keeping eagle eyes on them!
Photo is Murcia cathedral.

Good morning from the NE where it is sunny and 6°.
Spent yesterday sorting and shredding more paperwork.
Nothing planned for today.
Have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning All. Unbroken, light grey cloud over our corner of Somerset.

I’ve not slept at all so not really functioning. Family and friend worries that won’t settle. We’re fine it’s the others as my dad was fond of saying. Thankfully I can navigate most of today on autopilot. A routine Tuesday with the addition of a trip to the tip and the delivery of a granddaughters birthday card and gift.

Best wishes to all have the best day you can everyone.

hollysteers Tue 10-Mar-26 08:23:57

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Admin, song practice and housework yesterday. This afternoon, the usual music club, but I’m not in charge🤞so more relaxing, I’ll just add up the donations and help to clear away. I’m going to dress up in character and use props too.

I’ve booked a coach day trip for a change of scene and hope to find a bit more energy, I’m rather listless these days.
Thoughts to all poorlies 🌺

Good morning from Durham, not quite as grey today!
My friend is unwell and has had to cancel meeting up today. I have so much I can do at home, but tempted to have a ‘day off’ and please myself - perhaps a bit of half and half.

Best wishes to all. X

Usedtobeblonde

Good morning all.
Just popped in to say that my in laws ,who were all very keen and good gardeners, always planted their potatoes on Good Friday, it was traditional.
Have a good day everyone.

I thought that too, uttb. DH did that, and it was common for the farmers of east Kent to plant on or around Good Friday!

Blossoming Tue 10-Mar-26 09:42:00

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

MrB and I are off to the seaside today so will read the thread later. I got the rest of my blood results yesterday and they were good. For the second time in a row sodium is normal. Kidneys are not great but they are stable.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing.

Annapops Tue 10-Mar-26 09:46:31

Good morning from Durham.

Tesco delivery due then a short treadmill run to keep me active.

School pickup later for two GC while GD1 let's herself in with the emergency key. She pops in to refuel and get changed for her gym coaching sessions at our gymnastics centre of excellence nearby. She's recently been asked to help out with sessions, plus she's being paid. Not bad for a 14 year old! After the hour of coaching she goes into her own training sessions lasting until at least 8.30. She's at the gym 5 times a week including weekends. Such a talented and dedicated young lady.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Litterpicker Tue 10-Mar-26 10:40:53

Blossoming, it’s great to read that your blood results are good. Hope you are having a lovely day at the seaside 🥰

Grammaretto Tue 10-Mar-26 11:03:07

Well I thought St Patrick's day was traditional for potato planting 😂

Good Friday changes each year but you can plant them whenever you like right up until June.
I usually see the "volunteers" sprouting from last year or from the compost and put mine in then
