Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly corner of Somerset. The wind picking up and rain forecast by mid morning

Yesterday was wonderfully sunny. Our home breathed easier when the car was loaded for the tip run. We wandered along the coast for a short walk on an almost deserted beach and then enjoyed some lunch. Shopping accomplished we arrived home to find some very pretty flowers waiting.

After a very gentle start I’ll potter around, there will be paella later (my choice) and I’m sure some phone chats. There will be very mixed emotions for me today and I’ll keep busy.

Hope you get through the day without too much discomfort grandmattie.

Best wishes to all. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from s somerset, cool and cloudy today

It was an inspiring, lovely spring day yesterday, I sat out a lot and read a lot, in my sun trap garden. Today I have ordered some more pollinosan as my nose is a bit blocked, pollen season has started

I made soup, lots of yeasted buns and several small crumbles and I made good progress with my knitting. A lovely day and to crown it all, the bumble bees are back

Pottering for me today, aiming to keep the kitchen nice and tidy, floor clean and so on. No onerous work, just keeping on top of things

Good morning from a drizzly, dark Cornwall. As a change from drizzle yesterday we had a fierce hailstorm, very strange.

Been reading my eldest son's Mother's Day present which came in the post yesterday as he's away. A History of Buses in Devon and Cornwall! Very niche, very me. 😂😂

My other son and I will go exploring later to find the abandoned piano in the woods. As one does. His fault for asking me what I wanted to do today. 🤭 I want to avoid all the places where people gather today as everywhere will be crowded but there's a Starbucks on the A30 which we will go to later.

Church before all of that, to meet the new people I was introduced to at the home group last week and enjoy the lively service.

Good morning and Happy Mothering Sunday to you all.

I expect you’re enjoying seeing your relatives, Mick.

It sounds like you have lovely plans, grandMattie, so it’s a real shame you aren’t fully well. Perhaps the distraction of being with your family will help.

I have received thoughtful gifts and cards from my offspring in this country, but my DD1 in Australia never manages to remember because it’s on a different day over there.

Yesterday, I walked round to the pharmacy before going to the coffee morning at church. On the way, I encountered two holidaymakers who were trying to make sense of bus timetable. I stopped to help them and in conversation discovered that they live in the same town where I spent the last part of my teaching career!

A blessed Sunday to you all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning from Bristol and happy Mothering Sunday to one and all.
How lovely for you to see your sister, Mick, enjoy her company while she is with you.
I had an extremely quiet day yesterday, doing very little. My tummy felt ok for the first half but then the bloating, nausea, etc., came back for the rest of the day. I think I’ll try to see a GP as this has gone on for long enough.
I did wash and hand the bed linings on the line, which felt great.
I’m off to DD’s church this morning as Iris is doing something for the service - her mother is banned and her (male) curate is taking charge apparently. DGD1 is now getting too self conscious at 16 to expose herself to such things.
I’ll have lunch with them then probably go home soon after.as they usually have a million things arranged.
I hope you all have a good day.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🌷🦩❤️🦩

Good morning everyone, I've not posted since 2013/14. I've been on my daughter's rollercoaster since then.

I hope I'm still welcome here. Lots have happened in these years. Obviously, not to my benefit / liking.

I will need to catch up with the lovely people had/have similar predicaments as myself. Also with new participants in the same boat. LC xx 💜
