Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright and sunny now but it looks like it’s been raining
Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday gMattie and pleased you’re feeling a bit better
A good day yesterday with contact from all my 3 children, I count myself lucky but always think of those who found yesterday difficult ❤️
This morning we’re going into town, I’ve sold a few things online so I need to go to the post office on the way and then we’ll have a coffee in town. We’ve a few things to cross off our list of things to do, but no doubt we’ll add more. We’ve also made a little list of places we’d like to visit this year so we’ll chat and do some days out and holiday planning too. Line dancing this evening
Enjoy your break away Pantglas 😀
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings

Good morning all from a brightish but chilly North Leicestershire.

I had a peaceful day yesterday - which i really appreciated. DS1 came for coffee on his way to the football with DH, I prepped supper and then sat down with the papers.

Today I have an M&S order to collect and an order from the village Boots.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning from an overcast S Hants, I just heard geese flying over.
Visits from both children yesterday and beautiful flowers.
Back on the voluntary phone today and I’m expecting a call from the surgery re my bone scan that I haven’t had- rather confusing.
Wishing those with medical issues a better day and those struggling a chink of light.

Good morning from a bright east coast.

We had a nice day yesterday with the DC coming over. DS brought me flowers and wrote a lovely card. He was without DGS as his mother has deemed she would have him longer as it was Mother’s Day. I’ll pick him up after school today. Praying for another good day.
DD brought the DGDs and brought a card a daffodil plant and a bottle of fizz. It was lovely to see them all. I feel very lucky.
DH and I opened a bottle of champagne in the afternoon and watched a movie. We ordered a chinese to be delivered.

Today I’m taking mums little dog to the vets to possibly get the stitches out of her little paw. She’s been licking it though so they may not take them out. Mum should have been putting her cone on every time she went to lick it through the sock the vet put on.
We are looking after the little ladies tonight as usual.

Wishing a day for everyone with a moment of joy. 🌼Thoughts to those feeling sad or anxious💐

Good morning from a much brighter Black Country.

Fabulous day yesterday at Brothers house. They did two types of curry, rice, Naan Bread, Indian snacks. Plus Pasta and 2 types of sauce! Then lovely cake, far too much food so I think that is their lunches sorted for next couple of days!

Mum had no idea why she was given presents smile

Great to see my Niece who had to leave at 5pm to catch a train back to London.

Today I need to pop to Mums to get her food shopping. Usually go Tuesdays, but busy tomorrow.

Roofer is coming to finish off some work on the house.

I am the opposite to you Monk I rarely eat breakfast, so that I can have a good lunch.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry but looks chilly out. I have no real plans for today although I have been invited over for drinks with my lovely neighbours at 6pm.

I will eat before I go and as there’s nothing in the fridge apart from milk, butter and a large tub of Greek yoghurt I will nip into my larder later and choose something, see what I fancy.

Good morning from brightish Leicestershire although rain is forecast.

I had lovely messages and presents yesterday although it was quiet as I am still in significant pain. I can stand and lie but sitting is a problem.

Redcar flowers
Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Redcar for you today 💐

Gingster Mon 16-Mar-26 08:20:31

Good morning all and the sun is shining here in Essex.

Yesterday was lovely with Dd and DGD6 here for lunch and then DS1, DIL and gd2 here for afternoon tea. Lots of hilarity and teasing with DS and Dd. It’s funny how they resort to childhood capers when together. DS2 phoned and joined in the fun.

Not much on today. I’ll,pop up to town as I need several birthday cards. March seems to be a popular month. A trip to the charity shop with very heavy old books. My Swedish death sweep is going well. Whilst looking through the bookcase I found my grandads Robinson Crusoe book awarded to him in 1905 for good progress and attendance. He must have been about 10. A hefty tome to give to a young boy.

I must try to catch my local Cabbie to book him for DH’s hospital visit on Wednesday. I need to know that he can fit the rollator into his boot.

Marzipan what a fabulous photo . Very atmospheric.
Have a lovely trip Liberty and Pants.

Hope all who are suffering , one way or another feel easier today. 🌱

Gingster I was given Lorna Doone as a Sunday School prize at the age of 10. I was a very precocious reader though

Buenos Dias again from sunny Salobrena in Amdalucia!
We travelled south yesterday and are in a beautiful clifftop hotel; my balcony has the most wonderful view, as the photos show.
Today we are going to Salobrena village and castle, and late afternoon hopefully to Almunecar.
Tomorrow, Granada!
Must go now to the coach; wishing all a pleasant day.

Grammaretto Mon 16-Mar-26 08:29:49

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's freezing cold still so I'm having breakfast in my coat. I had to squeeze past a van just now which is blocking the drive, in order to get the wheelie bin out.

The potters' weekend was very nice meeting friends old and new, but getting home yesterday was one long jam on the M8.

Today my friend from the North is coming to stay and possibly a young helper from Brazil but she's gone quiet so I don't know. 😄

All 4 DC remembered Mother's Day. DD has sent a voucher to spend at my favourite shoe shop. not enough unless there's an excellent sale but an excuse to browse

Sorry you are in pain still Dragonfly
Redcar flowers

I love your Welsh ponies in the churchyard pants

Hoping everyone has something nice today.
I have an exercise class this morning.

Good morning from Durham.

Fitness class later then a Tesco delivery to finalise.

Yesterday was lovely, cemetery first then DC popped in later. More Pandora for my collection, smellies, chocolates, flowers and wine. I feel blessed.

A new knitting pattern book should arrive today with more projects to keep me occupied.

We're also culling holiday plans in order to justify a trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe next year. Fingers crossed it could be quite an adventure although will be part of an organised tour.

Have the best day you can everyone.

harrigran Mon 16-Mar-26 08:46:08

Good morning from a sunny but chilly NE.
Yesterday afternoon DS, DIL and GD2 visited and brought a beautiful bouquet and chocolates. I always get a card from the GDs too.
After dinner GD played the piano for an hour and told me how she has already done part of her GCSE music exam. She played a duet with her music teacher, Faure's Dolly suite.
This week is a busy time for GD as it is the school production of Hadestown.
Today I will just tidy round and empty the dishwasher because I went straight to bed when the family left last night.
Have a good day.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 16-Mar-26 09:26:25

💐 for you today Redcar

Ah GrandmaBatty I know Almunecar well as friends from Manchester that we’ve known many years moved out there to live for 5 years! Himself and I regularly stayed with them in their 2 bed apartment right across the road from the (slightly pebbly) beach. I have many happy memories of that time thank you for reminding me of them this morning. It’s a very popular holiday destination for the Spanish. Also many Scandis winter there to escape their dark days at home. La Heradura the next resort along (10 minutes) is very popular too.

hollysteers Mon 16-Mar-26 09:28:17

Good morning from a cold Sunnyside northwest coast.
Flying DD from the south has picked up a stomach bug from her South African flight and since her arrival from the south, has been laid up, not eating and sick. Captain and some crew affected as well. I’ve been full of cold so we are a right couple.

Instead of having a proper meal together, I cooked the chicken planned and it’s in the fridge. Neither of us up to a full meal last night.
Still, she brought with her a lovely large cosmetic bag from SA, flowers and a pop up Mother’s Day card. She’s usually so active when she’s here, it’s strange to have her unwell.

We’ll see how today goes. Tomorrow I’m due to have physio for my bad neck and shoulder, a financial meeting, then a meal with DS and DGD…”Man proposes and God disposes”.
💐Redcar and thoughts to all.

Am nursing a painful tooth which the dentist warned me would need to come out. Surgery says they will try to see me this week; explained that I have already taken too many pain killers and need sooner rather than later, so am awaiting a call back. Nothing worse than toothache!
