Marydoll Coates Memorial? We,ve done hundreds of weddings here over the years it’s one of our favourite churches.The stairs are brilliant for pictures too.
I,m not into religion as you probably know but for 5decades ots where we spent a lot of our time .
I have a friend who was organising events there for a while ,it’s good that it’s used ,like Oran Mhor which is always busy a great venue.

It was their wedding anniversary last week. Their wedding was a day like today, with the sun shining, after days of rain.
We got some beautiful pictures on the steps.

I am so glad to see that it is being well used, rather than be left to fall into ruin.

We used to go to the beer festival with the family, but I'm no longer up to it. It stopped after Covid and then the LA wouldn't allow it after refurbishment and spanking new carpets!

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday was a busy day, we went out early for a walk around the dock as the hairdresser was coming to do my hair. She is a lovely lady, a friend of my niece, and works 2 days a week in a care home in addition to mobile hairdressing. So I’m shorn in time for a family get together at Easter. It’s another gorgeous spring day and we have once again been for a walk around the Dock.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Late to the party, in my defence I have been to the local food shops, now about to sort a late breakfast and a very strong coffee (I do love my coffee machine 🩷☕️)

The sun is shining, though it’s a bit chilly.

I am reading the last book of The Rutshire Chronicles by Jilly Cooper. (I reread these every few years, I suppose they are a form of comfort) I know in the big scheme of things this is silly but I am rather sad, as there will be no more. I have been in love with Rupert Campbell Black since 1985, and will miss the anticipation and reading of his and his families exploits…

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Art yesterday morning and my painting is worsening rather than improving. I blame the remnants of my heavy cold affecting my brain…and the distracting enjoyable chat.

I was glad to come home and potter after a little grocery shopping.
I’m off to a church fair soon, new to me so will have to find it on my sat nag as I call it, but it’s not far.

FGT I remember someone saying I was in the “running away” period after my DH died, which wasn’t true as I’m always out and about, I’m not a homebody. However, I did need reflective time to myself. So I know what you mean.

Good morning and it’s another lovely morning in Wiltshire.

We met up with the other GP’s of the youngest GCs at Whitehalls yesterday and had a lovely time on the restaurant terrace. She is a very keen gardener while I am not but get a lot of advice from her. Will get out into the garden later.

Dinner will be a lasagne from Cook. It’s too much of a faff to make from scratch.

Morning all. I’m struck by the difference in weather reported here in Co Durham which from Tyne to tees is sound 40 miles.
We have mist which is very slowly moving.
Frustrating day yesterday. Printer decided not to print when I had urgent stuff following an early call from the accountant. A five minute job took two hours! 🫰 it behaves today.
💐 and hugs for Fgt, Mdoll and Madeleine and anyone else in need.
No plans for today, our cleaner has not been for two weeks so I took yesterday’s frustration out on housework. So today I’m very stiff and achy. Nothing compared to what some of you dear ladies endure. Enjoy today if possible everyone.

Good morning all and I’m up late after a rubbish night. Unusual for me and I feel sorry for those who have regular bad nights. I feel exhausted, achey and grumpy.

Yesterday we met up with our Friday gang which was lovely, a couple of drinks and a few nibbles with lots of chatting.

Today Dd, dgd6 and I are having afternoon tea at the themed restaurant , we went to last year. This time it’s Paddington. The whole place is decorated by a professional team and is amazing. They change the theme every 3 months.DGD is a picky eater but will enjoy the whole experience.

I must phone SIL to see how my db is getting on. I couldn’t get through to her yesterday. He’s been in hospital since Wednesday.

Good morning all from a very sunny Glasgow, where it is only 1°C.

I have little sleep, my pain was so severe, radiating from my hip to my toes. DH said I was crying out in my sleep.
The orthopaedic surgeon, cannot help, because I do not need a new hip, it is related, once again to my R.A. 😪 Nothing can be done.

Poor DIL got nothing at Silverburn yesterday. She is so frail and tiny, nothing fitted her, even in the children's sections. 😔
I listened to all, her worries and woes, I have broadcshoulders), but I was exhausted.
Of course I did not come back empty handed! 😉

Today is Babydoll's daddy's birthday, she is more excited than he is.🤣
The local beer festival is on in the rooms, below the magnificent church, where they were married, so he off to it..
It no longer functions as a church, but hosts events.
The festival used to be in the Town Hall, but it was recently refurbished and beer is banned!
DS is so excited, to get out with his friends, sans Babydoll. The bonus for them, Nana, DIL's mum, is taking her overnight, because I have the all my parish duties to do and open church for the Vigil Mass tonight.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where its sunny and 15°C is forecast.

I’m having L’il Miss over mid morning for our usual Saturday morning time together while the Boy Wonder goes off to his football with his dad. We do our usual, mooch about the square (Poundland closed two weeks ago but Poundstretchers opened last week - phew!). Ideal for pocket money purchases - that and Home Bargains! The library always features and a drink each in Starbucks.

I’ve deliberately kept the rest of the day free as I’d like to sit quietly this afternoon and remember Himself, especially at 3pm. It’s 4 weeks today since he died in hospice and I’d like a bit of emotional contemplation.

I don’t want to be filling every moment with ‘displacement activity’ I don’t think that’s healthy.

Good morning from a misty foggy 1 degree Cambridgeshire.

This morning DH is bowling and DD2 asked if I would stay with DGD2 whilst she is in dance class as she is a bit wobbly again and needs the security of someone there if she needs anything. She is 12 in two weeks and growing up fast. DD2 needs to take the little one to football and cannot be in two places at the same time. I will then pop to Waitrose after lunch and quick trip into town for more Easter craft supplies for the DGC to do tmrw when they come round for a roast dinner.
Chicken and chips for supper tonight and a glass of Prosecco 🥂

Good morning from a sunny NE.
I enjoyed my lunch out with my friend yesterday, we caught up with family news, our DHs were first cousins.
We had a bottle of rose champagne with the meal but sadly it came back to haunt me in the evening.
Today is going to be a quiet day, no family visiting.
I will find a TV series to watch on catch up with a light meal of Dim Sum.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very foggy South Yorkshire. Can’t see the end of the road. The sun will burn it off later though. The washing machine beavering away.

Yesterday was a very short session at school. I only see six pupils on Friday, but one was ill and another decided he “didn’t feel like reading today” so, as the student teacher who was in charge of his class didn’t want to reason with him, and it’s not within my remit to do so, I let the situation lie, but I feel it’s not an attitude that should be fostered. Fortunately the others in the group are always very enthusiastic. I enjoyed the walk to and from school. Lots of daffs in the hedgerows and birds singing.

Today I have an early food shop to so and then will commit myself to some serious gardening. I need compost so I’ll go to the garden centre down the road and get a couple of bags. No bacon sandwich this week though - I’m on a diet!

A quiet day yesterday, my thigh muscles were sore, MrJ got my potatoes in, two rows of earlies.
Not sure what’s on today, I do need to ring my daughter, my son is working.
Ouch ginny poor lad, a shock for all.

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk after our trip to Durham and Northumberland where we enjoyed weather similar to this. How lucky we were.

As we left home on Monday morning,the rape in the fields around here had the odd plant flowering but as we come home early evening,several fields were bright yellow. Wonderful how a few days of lovely weather can bring crops on so well.

Today will be a day at home. DH will go and collect the little dog,her hotel he calls it,where she is very happy and very well looked after,probably 2 loads of washing and then the usual Saturday Waitrose delivery.

Hope all have a good day especially those unwell or caring for others.

Good morning from a sunny N. Bucks. Yesterday’s sun was quite weak but at least it was dry.
Our 4 year old Grandson has a swollen face and has knocked out two of his teeth. His Mum feels awful as they were in the bathroom and laughing. She tickled him and he went forward hitting his mouth on the side if the bath. Emergency dentist yesterday and a hospital appointment in the next couple of days. Soft or liquid food for the next 10 days. He is coming here for a couple of hours this morning and we are going to make an Easter hat ready for school on Friday. He will do the work , I just have the materials.
Afterwards a local food shop and then we’ll see how the day goes.

Good morning from Durham. Another grey start and as the heating has kicked in, it must be cold.
Yesterday’s funeral and my Solicitor appointment (not related) went well. DD1 is coming over sometime today, to collect a gift for her niece in law who is 21. Otherwise a quiet day - I’m sorting through handbags to donate - six already to go.
I hope MD gets some rest over the weekend.
