Saying goodbye like that is so very painful, isn’t it bellas? At least, these days, telephone calls don’t cost an arm and a leg, and there is the video phone as well. Big hugs 🫂

Good morning from Staffordshire.Another breezy and drizzly day forecast.

We didn’t get out for lunch yesterday.Just as we were about to leave I had a phone call from the solicitor to say contracts had been exchanged on mum’s house sale and the buyers would like to complete straight away.Quite a shock!I spent the day making phone calls re the house.I have very mixed emotions.Relief as it has been incredibly stressful looking after and clearing a house which has been a hundred mile round trip every visit but sadness at the end of the era of my parents house.

Today DD’s cleaner is here and also my son in laws mum is coming for coffee and chat.A couple of walks with little dog and the day will soon go.We are enjoying our mini break!

Roses thinking of you today and hoping your appointment goes better than you are thinking it will🙏🏻💐

Thinking of all who are struggling and of our absent friends.Missing Pantglas and hoping all is well🙏🏻

Have the best day you can everyone🦩🌻

Good morning from Malta where the forecast predicts a cloudy day with rain and hail and a high of 11°C and a low of 4°C! 🥶

I had the boys from 7.30 am until 5pm and they were so good and played together a lot, plus the usual stories, playing catch, and other games where Nana is needed. They also eat a lot despite being small and slim for their age. DGS 1 is slightly taller than his brother who was the tiniest at birth weighing 2.4lbs.

DS and his girlfriend plus the cat Winston came to say their goodbyes last evening and I did cry even though I tried to hold it in. They are now on their way to Bulgaria, by road and ferry.

They are on the catamaran to Pozzallo in Sicily as we speak, then they drive up the east coast to Messina, another ferry to Reggio Calabria, then a drive to catch the ferry to Greece and another to Bulgaria. I’m a nervous wreck and will be until I know they are safely at their destination.

I’m going to miss them so much.

I need to keep busy so will find plenty of jobs to do and I need some milk and bread so will have to venture out. I wish the weather was more conducive to Spring cleaning. It’s supposed to be better after Easter.

grandMattie I love your quilt, it’s very colourful and will certainly cheer up some lucky person’s room. You are so clever to make it.

Thinking of you all and wishing a good day to each of you.🤗

Try again. Right and wrong sides - reversible.

Good morning from Bristol.
Yesterday was gratifyingly sunny, although the wind was fiercely cold again - “moderate”. My washing dried in no time.
I finished my quilt. It’s very garish but, as it was made from scraps, I think it’s ok. It’s as ra raffle prize for the “ecology fete” at the end of April.
Today is full on baking for the FAB cafe’s live music. It attracts what feels like half the retired population of our village. Over 100 people end up bopping and dancing in the aisles! We are very busy.
I also have my regular “salon”in the afternoon; the hairdresser is coming for 3 haircuts.
I hope the sad and anxious have a quiet day, the poorly feel better and all is well with everyone.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩
