Although I no longer post in the kitchen, I look in occasionally.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Soop’s death. I remember when she decided to open the kitchen and those who liked the idea, eagerly joined her. A heartbreaking time for McSporran. Kind thoughts for you too Baggs.

Galen. I was thinking about you only recently and for you to suddenly appear was a lovely surprise.

My heart goes out to you SueD. I am 18mths on from where you are today. One day at a time and be kind to yourself.

Good to hear from you galen, I’m sorry you’re so restricted and hope when the better weather comes life will open up a bit.

Love and hugs go to sued and the family.

An exhausting day redcar, hope you rest well tonight.

Oh heck, Charley, sometimes I despair at the lack of common sense in our NHS. I know you’ll manage but for goodness sake medical care should be about more than leaving people to manage.

A quiet morning here. As cloud and a cold wind discouraged being outside I caught up with some admin before getting very frustrated at the alleged experts second go at sorting a small scuff on our sofa. It looks worse now than before he began. In case you’re wondering, no we haven’t paid him

We should have had an Amazon parcel pickup. The courier appeared without the necessary label. My link didn’t allow me to print one. A very cross call to Amazon secured a refund and an instruction to keep the item. A charity shop will benefit. We then wandered to a newly discovered family run garden centre with a quirky cafe. A restorative cuppa later two perennials came back with us to fill gaps.

Time for sleep 🤞 I’m not doing well this week. Night night everyone, sleep tight.

Hello kitchen people.

I’m so glad you’ve had a good day FGT.

We had lunch at our favourite pottery tea room. Quiche and salad, as always and an enormous slice of coffee cake. I bought some greetings cards and wrapping paper in the shop. We then drove to our nearby NT property. It was cold and windy (what happened to Spring) and OH hadn’t brought a warm coat. So we went home via Waitrose and bought a few treats.

I listened to an interesting talk from the V&A tonight. It was about the various artisans and dressmakers who dress the Queen.

Sleep 💤 tight.

I’m just home and in my pj’s with my mug of peppermint tea. I’ve not been this late home for over a year.

It was so good to see our (my?) friends from Bolton and they arrived with a beautiful bouquet that the LWW in Málaga had also contributed towards but asking them (in the UK) to organise.

I’m very lucky to have such caring friends. We’ve planned another meet soon as they’ve invited me to see the new bungalow they bought last summer.
