Bubbles, friendship and support in abundance xxxxx

Of course you’re right gg133.

Sleep is elusive, no idea why as there was a lot of movement today when we visited a beautiful NT garden full of glowing tulips. Warm bordering hot in the sun. Some folk out in shorts, several steps too far for me.

Hope you’re sound asleep fgt. 💐

You’re getting there jax, not long now.

Good news the staples are out nannyt.

Night night everyone, sleep tight.

Lovely picture of Milo llfl, Soop was such a talented artist
Well done with the walking Jax it sounds like you’re making good progress, you too nannytopsy
It’s been another lovely day here, at last there’s been some warmth in the sun and my walk by the river was good. Hopefully sone gardening tomorrow
A subdued kitchen just now but like GG says we must keep it going in memory of our dearest Soop x

Grran Wed 08-Apr-26 22:21:51

Love the photo of Soop’s artwork, LLFL.

Has anybody else got any of Soop’s artwork to share?

Redcar Wed 08-Apr-26 22:19:15

nannytopsy I hope you’re able to sit more comfortably now the staples have been removed!
jaxjacky one crutch is definitely good progress!
Night night all!

Good evening everyone. I have just come home from our WI AGM. It was a convivial evening but no one would join the committee ! Not a surprise. I had the staples out from my hip op this afternoon which has made things easier.
Sleep well everyone.

It’s been warm and sunny here today. The Imp was happy to be out in the garden, I was happy to feel the sun on my face.

Onwards and upwards kitchen friends 🙋‍♀️🌼

Hello kitchen people. I’m just back from a very interesting talk at the Local History Society on Maps.

Here’s the picture that Soop did for me of Milo in 2022.

FGT💐

FGT 💐🌞

Jaxjacky Wed 08-Apr-26 20:28:24

Thanks Redcar still on one crutch, but progress.
For tomorrow 💐

Redcar Wed 08-Apr-26 20:15:32

A beautiful day today, I sat in the garden this afternoon with an ice cream and looked at the weeds growing! I resisted the temptation to dig them out.
Yoga this morning was quite challenging
but energising. I cleared out some out of date paperwork and put away a shopping delivery.
Tomorrow is my late sister in law’s funeral, a difficult day for me in prospect.

jaxjacky well done for going for a walk, really pleased you’re able to resume your normal routine now!

Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone.

Well said GG13 we owe it to soop to honour her legacy.

I’ve had a good day but shed some emotional tears at yoga. I wore a tee belonging to Himself which comforted me (Ralph Lauren Polo but what else was I going to do with it? 🤷‍♀️) and I was fine, until I felt tearful and then wasn’t. I’m obviously quite labile at present but hey ho, it is what it is.

I’m in my pj’s drinking water after my afternoon deep body massage. I think I’ll sleep well tonight. Grief is an exhausting and messy business. x

Gracey Wed 08-Apr-26 19:57:05

Soop of course.
(Think I was auto corrected.)

Saddened to hear of dear Soop's death.
I rejoiced when Soop returned to the kitchen briefly, a short while ago. It was so nice to have her presence again.
She retained her humour and spirit but it was a short swan song given she was so poorly. Such a kind and wise woman who has touched so many Gransnetters.
She leaves a wonderful legacy.
My thoughts are with her much-loved husband and family.
Rest in peace dear Soup.

Jaxjacky Wed 08-Apr-26 18:34:48

In that spirit GG13.
It’s been a glorious day again, we had a river walk, our gardening lady came and weeded, much better. We then went to our local and met a friend who’s had three stents put in after a heart attack and was given a clean bill of health yesterday

Me too, GG.

GrandmaC47 Wed 08-Apr-26 16:22:00

GG13, I echo your sentiments.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 08-Apr-26 14:28:06

soops kitchen must be kept open and continue as one of her legacy’s despite it being a place of much sadness at the moment.

With time it will return to its safe haven, and we will be able to smile as we remember soops kindness and generosity of her time and openness of heart.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 08-Apr-26 14:08:27

She will be here in spirit though.

Pittcity Wed 08-Apr-26 13:58:33

Very quiet here in the kitchen with the central chair empty.

Castle25 Tue 07-Apr-26 23:03:42

So sad to hear about Soop but what a legacy she has left behind her. She created a place for virtual strangers to join together and support each other. Her family should be so proud of her
Granmarie enjoy St Andrews is our favourite place. Due a visit soon.

I found soop's kitchen a few months after she opened it and I joined because I was being treated abominably on another thread and I have never left. It has expanded a lot but that is what soop wanted.

Baggs it has not been easy for you and I hope Mc Sporran is coping.

dustyangel Tue 07-Apr-26 16:52:27

Has anyone noticed what has been achieved in this thread. It’s good to see so many names from the earlier years of the kitchen, posting again with loving memories of soop.

Susan56 Tue 07-Apr-26 14:05:16

Thinking of you Baggs on the loss of your dear friend. My thoughts are with McS too💐
