baggs thank you for the update on the soops, sad time for them. I’m thinking of them both and thinking of you too.

I’ve just had a good cry and am feeling melancholy tonight. Every now and again the finality of all this undoes me. I will never see him again and I miss him terribly. Tonight the tears flow. I know he lives on through our little family and that is a comfort. But oh how I miss him being here with me this evening. Time will heal but tonight my grief is acute and I can’t bear that he has gone.

Adding my thoughts for soop and Mr.soop to those from her kitchen regulars. ❤️

I have had a message from MrSoop. He is with her in hospital where she is "comfortable and well looked after".

I’m not in the kitchen regularly but want to join the wave of love which is going to soop from her kitchen friends. 💗

I’ve been out, pub out! No overindulging though, shandy all the way, it was lovely to see people, we left as oit started to get busy.

Malayan sounds yum GG13 I used to go to a great Malay restaurant in St John’s Wood some time ago. You’ll have a comfy sofa to recover on when you return.
MrJ cooking hog burgers, speciality of our butcher, the similar sausages are a bbq favourite.

It’s been sunny here today but with a really cold wind. I managed half an hour pottering in the garden, had a quick walk, a quick trip to M&S food and then a coffee with DH in town. We didn’t cross much off our to do list but added extra items ….

blossoming I’m sorry that your sister is unwell and that your family gathering has had to be postponed. Good you were able to go for a walk in pleasant weather today.

I had a walk this morning but the sun wasn’t out and there was a chilly breeze, but I felt better for some fresh air. My hairdresser came this afternoon and at the moment my hair is exactly as I like it. I’ll give it a week before it looks a mess again! Perhaps I should learn to style it myself.

Our new sofas and chairs are currently being assembled in the sitting room, when the men have gone I will get the new cushions out of the boot of my car and arrange them.

DH is home alone this evening, I am going out to dinner at our local Malayan restaurant with one of my longest standing friends. I have a feeling I will be joining FGT2 in the over indulged club tomorrow morning 🥂😹

Hello all, I’m currently reclining on my pillows chilling by the open window and listening to the birdsong. It’s been a beautiful day here, we have had a lovely walk and there is shepherds pie for tea. I have very little energy these days but I do what I can. We were going to a family gathering on Easter Sunday but my sister is unwell so it has been postponed for a few weeks. TOYA ♥️

Simnel cake

Hello kitchen people.

OH and I used the restaurant voucher which our daughter gave us for Christmas. We had a delicious lunch!

When we got home we de-flead the cats and I finished off decorating the Simnel cake.

I won £100 on the Premium Bonds. I suppose it can go towards Milo’s dental bill next week!

I hope we’re all having a good day. It’s 😎.

I would like to investigate this word "sun" which keeps cropping up. It is cold, dull and dreary here in London.

fgt please don't beat yourself up about an enjoyable time with your daughter. Would it matter if you came home legless? You can always sleep it off!
