Morning from S Hants, similar weather to Gagagran.
Well done brook sounds like a good evening 🙂
Yesterday I wafted some dust around, even came across a lurking pine needle from Christmas! I’m hoping my garden helper can come soon, weeds are on the march.
Must sort out a football trip for MrJ and grandson today, a voucher was won in a Christmas draw and needs to be ‘cashed in’.
Hopefully I’ll get out for a walk if it stays dry.
Enjoy your walk Bellas shame about the parades. Well done your team BlueSapphire 🏉
Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning from a dull Leicestershire.

Quick trip into town today which will involve coffee and of course dog walking.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from a grey, overcast Durham. Wind and rain to come later.
DD2 and family coming today for an Easter egg hunt and lunch. I expect a big bag of laundry too.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all. It’s bright but chill some here in Essex.

I woke in the night, stiff and achey. No reason for it as I hadn’t done a thing yesterday, just being waited on at DS1’s Easter egg hunt and Bar b q.

A lovely afternoon with all the family plus one new boyfriend of dgd3. 6ft 5ins and only 17.! He dwarfed the twins who are on,y 6ft2ins. We are mainly a short family so we find it amusing.

DS does a good bar b q with burgers and sausages made by the local butcher. Delicious.
Dh was in good form and sat with the ‘boys’ in the garden, supervising the cooking. 😉.

So many eggs were shared out. Theyll last us until Christmas.
I do love easter egg chocolate and it has to be from the fridge.

We’ll have a quiet one today. I’ll walk with little pooch to get the paper, milk and bread.
Read my book this afternoon in the (warm 🤞) conservatory.
Home made fish and chips for tea.,

Enjoy the day as much as you can. 🐣

Good morning Easter Saturday from Glasgow, where it is 3°C.

I've been downstairs early, for two hot water bottles, I can hardly walk, due to my painful joints. Yesterday was so busy at Church, I ended up exhausted.
Back in bed for an hour, then I have loads to do.

I have a turkey to cook. I got it at Christmas for £2. It has been defrosting, since yesterday, I hope it is O.K.
There were no lemon tarts available, so I shall have to make on for tomorrow.
Also, I managed to get a dental repair kit, so I am going to do a temporary repair on my crown. I am a tad nervous.
The P,P, and curate spent yesterday trying to get me to smile. No way!

On a lighter note, I went to Sainsbury's early, but it was still very busy.
I just wanted to get home, but got a basket check. It happens every time.
The assistant tried to do the check, but it failed to transfer to the system. Cue a huddle of assistants, trying to decide what to do. Eventually, it was decided to get a new scanner and rescan the whole trolley.😭
Feeling unwell, with my mouth thrombin, I just wanted home,
I told the assistant, she had forgotten to scan the bottle of Baileys. It's on the house, for the inconvenience, she said.
What a result. ♥️

Tonight, we have the Easter Vigil, a very long affair. The young sacristan and I did some of the preparation yesterday, to lighten the load.
As usual, the Chief sacristan ( in name only), scarpered, as soon as the service was over, and left us to clear up. He does this every time..🤬

I wish you all a pleasant day.
Roses, you must be excited to your family's visit. 💐

Good morning, I have no idea what the weather is doing 🤷‍♀️ I have been awake for an hour so far it’s been sunny, windy and now it’s grey and cloudy, never mind it will make up its mind soon.

A quick pop to the local butchers and wet fish shop, then a lazy day is planned.

Good luck with your tooth repair Marydoll 🦷

I hope that Storm Dave doesn’t cause too much trouble

Good morning from N. Bucks where it is still and dull at the moment .
A local shop this morning and then , weather permitting, an hour or so in the garden. We have some new plants to home and some general tidying.
This evening we are boy sitting. Luckily they only live half a mile away from us, so no long journeys.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning from a windy grey 8 degrees Cambridgeshire. Need to go to the Farm shop for a chicken for tomorrow as that’s the only meat the little ones will eat. Will also call into Waitrose for a few bits then it’s a quiet home based day. Hoping to see DD2 for a chat at some point. There have been a few family dramas which we need to talk over. Life continues to be challenging but this storm too will pass.

Have a good day everyone 💐🐣

Good morning from a dry but overcast NE, forecast says rain by lunchtime.
Yesterday was another day of doing nothing, even after eight hours sleep I kept falling asleep on the sofa. That is three days in a row that I have been a sleepyhead.
DD is having a coffee machine delivered here today so they don't have to stay home waiting for delivery.
No visitors today.
Have a good day.

Good morning from Nottingham, I arrived here about 4pm after a good journey but only possible by using a GD to take me to the station, Passenger Assistance on the train and a very helpful taxi driver who carried my bag right to the reception desk at the Premier Inn, spite of all that I fear my away days are coming to an end.
MyD and GD arrived not long after me, it had taken them 6 hours to drive from W Sussex.
We had a lovely catch up over a very good meal which we all enjoyed.
Hitting the shops today, going into town on the tram which starts 4ish minutes walk from here, an excellent service and a novelty to me. I still have to pay though, my travel pass only works on the buses, not the trams.
We didn’t get the wind at all yesterday.
Enjoy what you can of the day everyone.

monk08 Sat 04-Apr-26 08:46:12

Good morning all from the Black country after yesterday's wind it appears to be a lot calmer.
Trip into town this morning for a few bits and then back for a rest before out with friends this evening.
brook I can confirm Biscoff mini eggs are delicious.
Usual Saturday full English calling so will catch up with everybody's happenings later.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

Grammaretto Sat 04-Apr-26 08:48:12

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's sunny so far.
We had some hail and wind yesterday evening, obviously because the windows had been cleaned.

I bought a car yesterday! Mine had failed its MOT and this one had been an insurance write off but repaired with new bumper etc and it'll do me. It's only done 25,000 miles in 10 years with full service history. I took a canny friend with me and had a test drive.
I don't use a car much but need one now with clearing my house.

Friends came for dinner bringing wine and strawberries. I showed them the house I have offered for. One likes it, the other found fault.

I must find a gift for tomorrow's birthday girl. I've been invited to tea at her other grandparents.

Today is another DGD but I am taking her shopping on Tuesday.

Every time you go out Marydoll you have an adventure! 😅

Hope you enjoy your adventure FGT. Making new friends is always possible.
Most of mine are younger than me.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. Keep safe if the storm hits.

Good morning from Shropshire.Dry and dull at the moment.

We had a pleasant drive home from DD2’s yesterday. We decided to go the country route instead of the motorway stopping for fish and chips halfway. We then called at Tesco so a lot of unpacking when we got home.

Today will be the usual day after a few days away with catching up with laundry and admin. We will see the family at DD1’s tomorrow. Both DD’s met up at Legoland yesterday.DD2 travelled home last night, DD1 will travel home tonight and then make lunch for twelve tomorrow.Oh to have such energy!

I love the quilt grandMattie, the design and the colours.

Marydoll I hope the tooth repair goes well🤞🏻

Wishing everyone the best day possible 🌻🦩

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. There was a beautiful red sky at 7 am - is this a warning?

I am currently eating leftover hot cross buns - the real McCoy!

Our daughter is arriving sometime this afternoon. I must take out the leg of lamb to defrost and finish decorating a chocolate cake.

Have a good day.

Usedtobeblonde Sat 04-Apr-26 09:18:27

Just read over the thread, Jaxjacky it is so good to hear you are getting out walking again after your “confinement “ it was a bad break you had.
* GrandM* your needlework is remarkable, very talented.
You should set up a little cottage industry.
To those out and about like me I hope you enjoy your visits.

Ilovedogs22 Sat 04-Apr-26 10:23:19

Good morning everyone from a bright but chilly west mids.
A normal start to the day today; let dogface out in my pants, trying not to be seen by the all seeing eye of creepy neighbour. Then joy of joys a nice argument with DH about something &nothing, just as another bonus! Wishing everyone the best day possible. 🐶

Good morning from Cloudy Chambers. The lighting/acrobatic event I was planning to go to last night was cancelled because of strong winds. It’s due to be on tonight, but it’s doubtful. A shame, but I stayed in, cosily watching The Other Bennet Sister which I’m not mad on, but pleasant.

I’m off soon to see The Faraway Tree, then a little shopping after my cat feeding duties next door.
Some Easter cards I made (if it works) and thoughts to all🌺

hollysteers Sat 04-Apr-26 10:34:56

Just to add, I did actually draw and paint them!🎨🖼🖍

Good Morning from a wet Co Armagh
I’m confined to the house today , my hip won’t let me walk too far I think I overdid it yesterday
I’ve been invited to my son’s house for dinner tomorrow, it will be food to see the grandchildren , they love to tease me about my diminishing height ! They are all taller than me now
The Good Friday ceremonies were led by a member of the congregation, she did an excellent job
Here’s hoping for a pleasant day for all

aggie Sat 04-Apr-26 10:38:23

Lovely cards Hollysteers

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire. Storm Dave arrived yesterday evening but all is calm this morning.

MrB and I have enjoyed a walk around the Marina. Intrigued to see a couple of people filming, I wonder what’s happening? I shall check on YouTube later.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 04-Apr-26 11:05:04

Your meals always sound scrumptious LLFL! Could you accommodate one more at your table tomorrow? 😊

WhiteSwan63 Sat 04-Apr-26 11:17:41

I love your pictures hollysteers
I really want to see The Faraway Tree I was hoping to see it with DGD last week but she wasn’t keen. I will have to go and see it alone. It was a much loved book.
