How is it with everyone? It's horrible here. Strong winds and driving rain. The windows are creaking horribly. The poor cat is glued to me (actually I don't mind that. We comfort each other). It's going to be a long night.
Howling gales here and the rumbling of wheelie bins being scattered up and down the cul-de-sac. Doubtless there will be the odd kiddies trampoline blocking the road.
Typical Easter weather and there goes the church garden party.
Seems to have quietened a little. I can’t see outside; too dark, but the wind has dropped. I am in S W Wales. Usually with a bad storm we can hear the sea, but not at the moment.
East coast, nothing here ( hope these aren’t famous last words as I need to get to the allotment today) sounds calm outside and so far dry, fingers crossed
Have woken up to a strangely silent world today. No wind or rain but an odd quality of light and no birds singing. Oh well. Could have been much worse.
Wild last night here in the Scottish Borders. I've yet to see if any trees are down. It's quiet now thankfully and I can even see the sun. 🌞 My DD is at a wedding today in the Highlands.
Seems quiet to hear this morning on the north west coast, but it was very windy last night. Our poor dog kept getting blown sideways as she tried to perform before bed. Pictures posted from the seafront made me glad I wasn’t out there.
Very windy overnight in Cambridgeshire. I left all the plants I bought yesterday in the car overnight, as I had nowhere under cover to put them and I didn't want them blowing all over the garden.
Wild and wet overnight here in Durham. Breezy this morning with intermittent rain showers.
We were going to watch cricket for a while at the county ground, Chester le Street, but have been notified that there has been overnight structural damage which could affect spectator safety. Start of play postponed until further notice.
Was very windy overnight here in N Cheshire. Still gusty this morning and have just had a short hail shower. Patchy sun in between so hopefully the day will improve. Quite relieved to see my fence panels are still in place this morning. I hope no one has any serious damage.
The bins were all over and somehow the large garden waste bin upended and travelled some distance round two narrow corners, ending up outside the back door!
We're going out later, hope no trees are down en route.
Gusty winds overnight here in Northamptonshire. Very glad that my SIL had spotted that a fence panel was coming loose and fixed it for me. My sympathy to all those who had a broken night due to the storm and now have the clearing up to do.
Just south of Edinburgh here and we've just had snow - the garden is all white now. Quite a few places which had stuff on for Easter are cancelling them now - seen quite a few posts on social media to that effect.
A wild night in West Yorkshire.Today we have had, in no particular order...Sun, heavy rain, huge gusts of wind, hail, sleet and about thrirty five seconds of snow. The sky is black and blue by turns !!
