Good morning from sunny East Lothian.
I had an extra long sleep as the night before we were at a campsite in our van and it was very cold so I didn’t sleep well. Fortunately the weather rapidly improved and we had a lovely day driving round the East Fife coast, stopping for delicious fish and chips at the famous Anstruther restaurant and takeaway and ended up at St Andrews where we wandered in the warm sunshine and particularly enjoyed exploring the ruins of the ancient cathedral.
We are now back at our flat for another week before heading back to West Sussex. DD, her DH and one DGS are away in their new motorhome, chosen to be accessible to DD and able to store her electric wheelchair and rollator in its ‘garage’. We are meeting at DDs house for lunch with an old friend who sadly has Parkinson’s and would not manage the stairs up to our flat. We may or may not see DGS2 when we are there - he should be revising for exams but is more likely to be deep in a computer game while his parents are away - he is usually doing the same when they are there but being shouted at to do at least some coursework 😂. He is severely dyslexic so it is a struggle for him.
I too was sorry to read of Soops death. She will be greatly missed but also celebrated for what was obviously a life full of kindness to others.
