If you could choose a country to live in, other than the one where you live now, which country would it be ?
I was thinking New Zealand or maybe Canada but I think Canada is a bit cold in Winter for me so New Zealand would be the one. Bay of Islands, perhaps, because they get the good weather.

Greece and the Peloponnese in particular. But I would have to keep a home here in the South East of England as I love it equally as much.

Portugal, my most favourite place 😀

I feel like Fallingstar. I too like Scotland and find the people there very nice. But I just couldn't cope with the weather.

I also admire the Scandinavian countries for making quite a good stab at looking after all their people - not just the wealthiest.

Having said that, although many things in the UK frustrate me, I believe I could do a lot worse than live here. I think that if you live in a country you should appreciate what is good about it, as well as what is bad.

On our travels we came across a man and his wife who had set up a coffee plantation from wild growing coffee in Lautoka, Fiji. They lived at the edge of a gorgeous lagoon surrounded by palm trees , very peaceful. If they got sick I suppose they would fly back to Australia for medical care though I didn’t ask - maybe the hospitals are ok there.

Nowhere unless the people I love and know moved there too.

Then it would be the Mediterranean. South of France.

I wouldn’t move anywhere either but that wasn’t the question.

Switzerland. Absolutely stunning, air so clean, food is incredible, skiing on your doorstep ( not for me now, but for visiting family) Education is brilliant. Plus , they don’t get involved with war! And proud of their culture.

Beautiful country but all the Swiss we have met have had a sense of humour bypass.

New Zealand - Warkworth, north of Auckland to be precise. Nearly emigrated there 20 years ago and still regret not going.

Somewhere where it’s warmer. I’ve lived in Australia and it’s too hot. As for NZ yes it has lovely scenery but so many social problems and the people can be very insular and there is no culture. Definitely Europe for me - probably France, Portugal, Spain or Italy.

South of France, or Italy.
