Good morning from a bright east coast.
We have no real plans for today. We’ll have breakfast of avocado soon and take it from there. I would like a walk in the sunshine.
DH said he was going to go through his clothes for packing and see if there is anything he needs. My outfits have been planned and bought for weeks. I keep throwing things in a pile as I remember them. DH will probably realise he needs more pants the night before we leave. He’s always last minute so it’s good he’s in the planning a week before we go.

Wishing a lovely day for everyone and thoughts to virtual friends struggling with stress and sadness 🌼

Good morning all from a bright and sunny North Leicestershire.

DH and DS1 are going to the football (where they get a meal) so I only have myself to think about. I think I will sweep the patio - it makes the whole garden look so much better when it's done.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.A sunny day forecast.

We enjoyed a day at home yesterday.House is ship shape, just how I like it and laundry up to date.Another quiet day today I hope🤞🏻DD messaged at 8 to see if I wanted to go to Cheshire Oaks but I would need to set off straight away as she needed to pick H up from an overnight camp at 9.As I was still in bed and it is a half hours drive to their house I had to say no.I said to DH I feel old having to say I couldn’t make it in time but he pointed out even in my prime I couldn’t have made it😂

Marzipan I hadn’t heard of that film but am reading Poirot and me by David Suchet. It was the last film he was in before he began his Poirot journey. He spent ten weeks on Bryher filming and while there studied Agatha Christie’s books so he could make his Poirot as near to how she had portrayed him.

Jax, I have heard from Pantglas. She is ok and will be back when she can.

RosesandLilac💐

Marydoll I hope things improve for you very soon💐

Thinking of all with worries and struggles and wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

Yesterday was super. The Eden Project was wonderful and blessedly uncrowded. Our coach staff superb, a smooth drive and as many hot drinks as we wanted brought to our seats. We were very well cared for. An easily pleased soul I enjoy looking out from coaches, whether at towns or countryside as much more can be seen than from a car. Mr C says I’m just nosey!

Can’t decide if I’ve hay fever or the beginning of a cold. Either way it’s just sniffly at the moment. Other than ferrying Mr C for his jabs this afternoon there are no plans for today.

I’ll go back and read your messages now. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Stockport, however it is still chilly here.

Yesterday was a decent day, I got clothes sorted and bagged for a charity drop off.
Some spare pillows bagged for the loft and a quite large bag of rubbish ready for the tip.
One large double fitted wardrobe cleared, three to go.
We had these wardrobes fitted by Sharps many years ago and I hated them from day one but they hold so much apart from clothes that I put up with them.

This evening my GD, her BF and I are going out for a Sunday roast with friends, a nice change and I am looking forward to it.
Kindest thoughts to the sad and unwell, I hope you find some small joy in your day.

A sunny good morning from Co Armagh
Washing is thrashing away in the machine , I hope to get another load in before I head to Mass , where I’ll remember all our poorly friends and their carers ,
Yesterday was busy moving seedlings to the greenhouse from windowsills , some are a bit to leggy and might have to be scrapped , hope I’ve more seeds

Good morning and it’s sunny and bright . We haven’t had rain for ages here in Essex, so the ground is very dry. We had lunch in the garden which was very warm and the washing dried nicely.

Yesterday ds1 (whirlwind) came to do an hours gardening in our tiny plot. I kept thinking about your lovely patio Marzipan and would love to make mine more interesting. Any ideas or tips please. ? I hope your breathing improves. 🙏.

This afternoon I’m going to a local community hall for a talk on the Titanic, with my old neighbour/good friend. When we bought the tickets I said to the chap ‘I expect we know all about it’ .
‘Ah but not the Essex and Rayleigh connection!’ . He replied, tapping his nose. 😂. We were issued with passes which read Boarding at 1.15. Sailing at 2.00.

Dd offered to come and sit in with dh, but he’s adamant he’ll be fine. .
The hall is next to Rayleigh Mount which is a little oasis of beauty and calm, so we’ll have a wander over there to see the bluebells and wildflowers all bursting into life.

I cooked a gammon and veg dinner in the slow cooker yesterday but we didn’t fancy it last evening so we’ll have it today.

RosesandLilac 💐.

Take care all and have a lovely day. 🌺

Good morning all, from a sunny Glasgow. Lost my post, probably just as well.

Life continues to be problematic and exhausting.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning from a very sunny N Surrey. Wall to wall blue sky.
I will cut the bumpy tussocky grass today even if I only manage half and finish the rest in the week.
Jaxjacky Blossoming posted late in the morning on a recent Good Morning this week.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Sun is shining but since I have turned off the heating, I am sitting in the sunniest spot as it's not warm.

Thanks for your condolences on the sudden death of DBiL.

I'm going on a walk this morning and see how the day goes.

I found the Maggie's Centre adjacent to the cancer unit a resource for comfort and information when DH was undergoing treatment Rosesandlilac .
I hope there is something like it where you are.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk where we enjoyed a glorious day yesterday. Today is forecast to be the same. The apple trees are in full blossom which seems to have happened almost overnight and many of the rose bushes are in bud.

I can’t remember these things happening so early in spring before( but of course it could be my memory at fault).

I think we are planning a visit to the local garden centre as I want to get a couple of roses to plant. I think it is still just about ok to plant bare rooted ones.

I did a spot of gardening yesterday and realised that we need help in keeping the flower beds and borders in trim. We have a wonderful gardener who cuts the grass and manages the hedges but I think we’ll need to ask him to do a bit more if he has time. He has been with us for over 30 years and is now, understandably, cutting down how many hours he works.

Hopefully he’ll be able to help but if not,one of our lovely young women who clean for us is a keen gardener so I’m sure she’ll be able to help.

DH continues to keep wearing his hearing aids and said yesterday that it was easier than the previous 2 days. Well done you I said!

Hope today is a good one for all and thinking about those who most need that.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, but it feels quite chilly.

Spent yesterday afternoon at rugby matches, Navy v RAF, two matches, women and men. I'm afraid I left before the end of the second match (something I never do usually), as I was so cold! Decided to go straight home and not bother with the shops. Found a home-made venison casserole in the freezer which I enjoyed for dinner.

My plan is to go to the shops today, and have a good mooch around. May have coffee and cake out in Costa.
Then an afternoon in catching up with the weekend papers. No idea what to have for dinner.

Wishing all a pleasant Sunday.

NannyJan53 Sun 19-Apr-26 08:10:36

Good morning from a sunny Black Country, where there was a slight frost overnight.

No real plans for today, so go with the flow, there is a basket of ironing waiting, so may do that, or maybe not!

Some people really do take the biscuit gM literally!

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry sunny start to the day
Well done to your DGS in his football GrannyIvy 👏
We’ve no definite plans yet for today, I’ll enjoy pottering in the garden and see how the day goes, there’s lots to keep me busy. I’m looking forward to our usual Sunday FaceTime call from DS first thing and to catch up on all his news
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Jaxjacky Sun 19-Apr-26 07:51:36

Morning from a cool S Hants, it will warm up later. Enjoy your cycling Mick, pretty countryside.
Sad Ashcombe but if it’s not comfortable and become a chore, time to change.
No real plans today, but I will spend some time outside, I'm missing my usual potting on of tender veg that has been previous years spring job. Next year I will be back to it.
Enjoy your day today, visits, meals, walks or just resting. Hope pantglas and Blossoming are ok.

Good Morning from Durham. It’s a bright, sunny start to the day and DD2’s first load of laundry is out on my line.
DD2 was on form yesterday - he’s such a lovely little boy.
I have absolutely no plans for today, other than to mess about in the house/garden/garage, but I’ve slept in a ‘funny position’ and my right leg is worse today - it’s almost a year now and I fear it’s permanent.
💐RosesandLilac and others who so deserve them.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Another sunny day is forecast although it looked a little frosty when I peeked out the window.

Church this morning at a tiny chuch again. There are rarely more than half a dozen in the congregation.

Lunch out today. We haven’t been to this particular place this year but it still gets good reviews. Their Sunday lunches are excellent.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where we have sunshine. I hope it lasts.

Lots of laundry was done yesterday, all the extra bedding and towels from the family visit. I can’t believe how exhausted I was, I’m quite annoyed with myself, it seems that suddenly I have much less stamina.

Today will be taken up with Mass this morning then after lunch we will pop over to DD’s to see how they all are. The three younger children were away last week with their Dad, enjoying a sunny holiday while DD stayed at home to work and be with the eldest as she’s studying for her exams.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Gagagran Sun 19-Apr-26 07:20:10

Good morning all from a sunny central south coast. Still cool but it will soon warm up as the sun continues to shine on us.

We went for our jabs yesterday and it was so efficient with little waiting and elderly folk appearing from all directions being shepherded in and out of different entrances in quick sticks. In fact we were back home before the time of our appointments! They don't bother with the timings allocated and just take the next as they arrive. Well done by the surgery team.

DH has finally booked a technician to come and have a look at his PC and see if it can be fixed or needs to be pensioned off. He has also offered his original e bike to a friend of our neighbour who is interested in one but doesn't want to lay out a lot of money on one . DH says he will give it to him if he wants it as this friend kindly brought his chain saw and took down an over large plum tree from the corner of our back garden, a few years ago. We really don't need 2 x e bikes taking up space in the garage along with his 3 other bikes!

Laundry this morning and we shan't have the usual Sunday video call from DD as she is in Berlin on the last day of her conference. Home this evening.

I find greedy people very unattractive, Mattie and your new attenders at the church coffee morning sound to be just that. Could you consider having a notice up stating the price of a coffee and cake is £2 with any refills or extra cake charged at £1? Still very cheap compared to the chain coffee shops.

Kind thoughts to all our strugglers with troubles, health issues or worries of any sort. May the day bring some comfort and ease. sunshine

Good morning from a sunny Norfolk. Spent yesterday in the nice little garden here and enjoyed a bit of sun. Unfortunately the cobblers was shut so I will try again tomorrow. Today a pub lunch and hopefully a look at the sea.
Best wishes

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sun is shining. Enjoy your cycling Mick - South Limburg was a happy stamping ground for DH and I during the late seventies, early eighties.

Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon cooking for today, but in the late afternoon I walked up to our local reed bed to see if the reed warblers had arrived, and sure enough, there were two, but it’s early yet. They are such elusive little birds that you rarely see them as they stay in the bottom of the reeds, but their song is distinctive. It quite made my day. I hope they will stay and breed this year.

DS rang at teatime while he was chopping veg for their evening meal. DD and her menfolk are coming over today to eat here. I will tidy up the patio and maybe we’ll sit outside after if it’s warm enough.

Have the best day you can, folks.

Redcar Sun 19-Apr-26 07:15:57

Good morning from a sunny and cool mid Essex.
Yesterday was a lovely day, so I did a little more gardening, it’s so overrun with violets and weeds that it’s hard to know where to start clearing.

I hope to see family today. Will do some washing, then I’ll carry on with putting old family photos and documents into some sort of logical order.

I hope those who are struggling will find some relief today.

Have the best day possible folks.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° and cloudy (and cold). Bellasnana thank you for your concern. I'm slowly improving. GrandMattie that chap is taking liberties. Marzipan somehow I missed that you were unwell. I hope you get better soon. Love the photo!
Yesterday was a non event. I rested most of the day. I did manage to get the bed stripped and washed and kept the kitchen tidy.
Today I will need to go to aldi for food. Then dd is popping in. I also have a delivery to be in for - the excitement of a new toaster! I have chosen a 2 slice one instead of a 4 slice one. I never used all 4 slots at the same time. So that's the heights today. Have a good day all.
