Well…….I had an email from a prince in Nigeria no less! He claimed to love me deeply and his government wouldn’t let him leave his country, withheld all his considerable wealth and if I sent him some money he could fly to my home and we could be together! Top that! 😂😂😂

I'm heartbroken! I had this email, too and I was so happy. I thought that my mother was correct after all. She told me that some day my prince would come!
But it turns out he's two-timing me. However will I recover from this disappointment? 😭

I can't top that but I did have a Prince who was in a refugee camp who had millions but needed a bank account to put it in. If I'd send him my bank details he'd put his I think it was 10 million and he'd let me have 3 million for helping him. I obviously ignored it but then he sent another begging because there was no food or water (but Internet access )in the refugee camp and was desperate.
I've also had an offer of marriage on facebook.

On a serious note regarding the Nigeria scam……my late FIL fell for it, nothing to do with marriage but the sender did promise a van full of cash if FIL sent money to get the money released.
FIL sent thousands of pounds, and wouldn’t listen to any reasoning from family that it wasn’t genuine. He died in debt and with a hefty overdraft.
