I will still drive at night, but only on familiar routes with good road markings/cats’ eyes, and/or lighting. I gave up driving on unlit, unmarked country roads a good 10 years ago.
Boiling heat, the kind of day where you think you may pass out if you can’t find shade. Loud music in any cafe/restaurant/ bar. Miserable fun sponges, plenty of those types around. Driving, day or night tho I have to do it anyway.
Right now smiling 😂 - one of my front teeth has broken and won’t be able to see Dentist for 2 weeks, not because I can’t get an appointment, but I just can’t find the time - so many things going on 😫
Driving. I will continue to drive as I value the freedom it gives me. However, the volume of traffic has increased so much that getting anywhere involves queues, traffic jams and lights, so progress is very slow. It's frustrating. With petrol being so expensive I tend to think twice now about longer journeys
People who recount their maladies at length - invariably the worst/biggest/ most serious the consultant has ever seen People whose rose-tinted, memories of the past seem to blind them to the benefits of the present People who tut and cluck at everything younger people (especially mums) do My face in the mirror - TG for myopia
I concur with almost all the above. Interesting that so many of us don't want to be around people when we are all inundated with the message that socializing is absolutely essential "at our age" to our mental health. It's the opposite for me, thanks. So happy to hear I am not alone at all in that. I only like to attend events if there is another purpose (meeting, activity, game) rather than just talking--unless it's with very few close friends and siblings.
