Good morning Mick and others from Polmont where it's currently 7° and is cloudy.
Yesterday started early with the boys leaping in beside me at half six. We had a lovely morning playing at shops and restaurants and they drew loads. Just as well I have lots of paper. In the afternoon, I tidied up and had a much needed nap.
Today is an early childcare day. Dd has to go to her big office so I'm up, having coffee before heading to her house. Then school drop off and later pick up. In between I have a washing to do. That the height of excitement for today!
Have a good day all.

Good morning from a grey but dry Bristol.
Who knows, but the outside painting might well start today. I’m not holding my breath..
DD and I went to the American museum next to Bath university to see a quilt exhibition. It was of quilts made by black women living in a very isolated island on the Alabama river. They were made from necessity with scraps and old clothes. When they were “discovered”, they sold the quilts and made the quilts from new fabric. Both the quilting and the patchworking was very simple.
As we had had a long drive ,new didn’t stay that long, but managed a walk though some of the beautiful gardens too.
On the way home, we picked up a parcel for DGD and some compost for me.
The parcel contained a vintage prom dress for DGD who tried it on immediately and looked stunning. She was delighted.
In the afternoon, I replaced half the compost in my 4 large pots, ready for planting my tomatoes and a runner bean, when I get one. My word, those daffodil bulbs were a struggle to remove! The rubbish was taken to the skip by the manager’s house, which is full of vegetation cleared from the “jungle” by it. The state of the garden there is disgraceful.
Today, I’m doing the laundry. As my neighbour doesn’t have her car, I shall walk to Tesco (a 30 minute walk uphill) to do my shopping. The afternoon will be free.
I’m glad you are enjoying your cruise, ash, that life is settling down for you,*fgt*. r&l, we used to live near a gliding place in Hampshire. I have always wanted to go in one.
May your day be wrinkle-free. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where another sunny day is forecast with a high of 21°C.

I haven’t yet decided what to do today but ironing is first on the list! I have a few errands to run if I can summon up the motivation.

Thinking of our absent posters and those struggling with various challenges.🙏🏻

Have a good day all.☀️

Good morning from Lancashire.
Hope the painting begins today, grandMattie.🤞

DH has gone to get his bus into work.
There's laundry to be tackled here too.
I have to double check each load as I put it in the machine as the little chap likes to rearrange the piles. 😁

A couple of friends are going to drop by this afternoon.

Wishing you all the best day possible. 🌻

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’m still in bed having been exhausted after yesterday’s adventures in Kew! We had a lovely day celebrating our granddaughter’s 10th birthday. She has managed a 3-day celebration. Saturday was spent clothes shopping in a massive mall in Shepherd’s Bush (she’s inherited my shopping gene), Sunday a swimming party with friends and yesterday a day with family. Kew was looking so beautiful. The rhododendron walk was amazing. My granddaughter is so lucky that she can visit there after school every day.

I did all the driving yesterday so OH will drive us to meet friends for lunch today.

Have a good day everyone, especially those who haven’t posted for a while.

Good morning from Sheffield
I am very tired after a busy weekend. Not from going out but from home related tasks. We have done lots of little diy jobs.

I am meeting my sister today so that will be nice . Shopping at our local mall. I shall get my steps in then. I can’t be bothered to walk this morning.

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from Shropshire.A bright start to the day.

Like Melanie I am tired after a few busy days with garage sorting while DH has been working hard in the garden. The greenhouse is gleaming inside and out and the vegetable plot is ready to go.

Today I will make sure everything is ship shape and get things ready for a busy day tomorrow.

I hope we hear from Marydoll today.

Thinking of all our absent friends and all struggling and wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩

Good morning the sunshine has returned this morning, I’m hoping that it stays that way here on the hillside in south Glos.
I have housework and washing to do today, I’m slacking on the housework so need to catch up.
We have lots of baby sparrows in our front garden, they lurk amongst the plants with their parents collecting food from the feeder by the front door. I do love watching them.
The blue tits are collecting sawfly larvae from my roses for their young, it’s a frantic time for them all.
I finished my slow stitch piece yesterday, I will start another today, or begin one of the many kits I have been given or bought.
I hope everything goes well for you all today x
