Good morning from Malta where it is hazy, already 20°C which will reach 27°C later, plus a strong wind.

Yesterday I picked up my two Treasures from school at 1pm and took them to ‘Nana’s ‘Ouse’ as DGS1 calls it! They were absolute angels until their daddy came for them at 6pm.

DD3 went to the doctor who said she has a virus that’s going round and she is to stay off school until Thursday so it looks like Nana’s taxi will be required today and tomorrow as well.

Gingster how is your DD? I hope she’s better today. Don’t they worry us. I always thought it would get easier when they grew up but I think I worry more now than when they were little.😰

I have a new handyman coming today to change a ceiling light fitting and put a dimmer switch on. I will also ask him about painting the room and a bit outside. If he charges by the sq m I won’t be having him.

I will collect the boys again and amuse them until SiL finishes work and picks them up. I’m not keen to go near DD3 as a virus is the last thing I need.

Hoping you all have the best day you can. Best wishes to all, ☀️

Good morning from a clear Bristol. Brr, isn’t it cold 🥶! I can’t remember such cold mornings in May.
Today would have been my parents’ wedding anniversary; they were married in Bristol two days after VE Day.
The new not-WI committee went very well, with the members being very excited and looking forward to the first meeting next week. We already have 17 paid up members before our first official opening meeting!
For some reason, my 25 minute walk each way to Tesco first thing yesterday morning wiped me out. I got most things I wanted, made sure I only got things on my list as otherwise my trolley is impossibly heavy. I can top up in the village.
Today is my “day off”, with no regular commitments. I do, however, have my sweet gentlemen neighbour coming in the afternoon for our regular chiropody appointment.
I also need to make St. Clements marmalade and do some baking for tomorrow’s FAB cafe. I’ll get the lemons in a while from our lovely greengrocer when I get the paper.
I too have planted out my three tomato plants which are now shrouded under some muslin as I don’t have any fleece. The weather was so mild earlier that it seduced me into early planting…
Hugs to all those in need. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩🐦‍🔥

bellas, I’m so envious of the warmth. ATM, the temperature is 4C and we are to reach the giddy heights of 14C by late afternoon. I’ve had enough of the cold.

Good morning from a somewhat brighter Leicestershire.

Up bright and early this morning to be at the hospital for DH's MRI at 7.45. Hopefully we won't have to queue at the carpark.

Yesterday we shot off down the motorway and swapped doggy over so he will have a walk when we get back!

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from a chilly Leamington.
I'm here looking after the girls whilst their parents are in Scotland.
Yesterday I took the youngest to school then came home and pottered until it was time to meet her in the afternoon.
She was taken , by my cousin, to Cubs after dinner.
Not sure what I'm going to do today, it does depend on the weather.
I hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and damp. It feels much colder. Bellasnana fingers crossed that the painting can go ahead. GrandMattie I wouldnt risk planting out here as we are still having frost.
Yesterday was busy. I dropped off the boys then came home and tidied up. The afternoon was spent at school, first working in the library, then in dgs1s class where they were showing us various numeracy tasks. Then I picked up dgs2 and we headed home. The train set was pulled out and is adoring my living room. We went outside for a while and dgs2 nade mud pies and they both played with bubbles. They then made a den in my bedroom. After they were picked up, first dgs1 for football then dgs2 by dd, I did very little apart from dismantling the den.
Today will be quiet. I'll pick them up, bring them to my house for breakfast then take them to school. Then collect them afterwards. In between I will sort out the kitchen. Have a good day all.

Good Morning from Spain. A quick breakfast and being picked up 8.30. We should be in Newcastle by 1pm and I have a chiropody appointment at 2.30.

Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, dry corner of Somerset.

I’m with you grandmattie, need some warmth.

As it looks a decent if cold day we hope to head to some rhododendron gardens without the detours of the last two years when we foolishly believed the satnav. This year the old fashioned map will rule.

More rat conversations yesterday. It looks like the management company are finally taking it seriously as of course the little dears are now being seen in the front landscaping, having got bored with the back gardens. Now we have hope of professional involvement.

Totally agree bellasnana there’s more worry attached to adult children and indeed grandchildren than toddlers. Hope all goes well for your husband dragonfly. Happy landings georgesgran.

Best wishes to all, have the best day you can.

My grandfather always said, “little children, little problems; big children, big problems “!

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s dry, sunny and 3 degrees at the moment. Yesterday was very chilly and we actually had a shower late morning! I met a friend for coffee at Hyde Hall gardens and we had a good catch up. The usual browse in the shop afterwards! I called in at the Farm shop for some fruit and veg on the way home.
The gardener wasn’t able to come yesterday but I hope he’ll come this morning.

georgesgran I hope you have an uneventful journey home from Spain.

dragonfly I hope you find a parking space easily and that your DH’s scan goes well, with good results.

Thinking of those in difficulties, fingers crossed that life becomes kinder to you soon.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from cold s somerset, cloudy and windy too

My tomatoes and courgettes have survived so far at home, two layers of fleece on them at night, one during the day. The weather is going to have wind chill all week so I am not cycling to the allotment to take covers off, not even off my potatoes

I was intending to cycle this morning but am abandoning that thought, too windy to be safe and I can bounce instead, safe in my hall

I did more clearing outside yesterday and now have some good workable space with organised storage plus a whole empty keter city box that I will use when I need to dump something as an interim measure.

Looking at the sunshine through my french doors and wondering why I bothered to clean them last week, they are covered in dust again and I noticed cobwebs are starting to build up on my clean car too.

I am not doing much today, not contemplating changing my bedding to summer bedding yet. I hear that we are getting a strong el nino event this summer. It means raging heat for the summer months, the heat build starts in Iberia and spreads to us

Good morning all from a bright and sunny Torbay where a high of 18 is forecast although it’s chilly now.

Tonight we are taking the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Ouistreham and then on to DH’s home in Nogent le Bernard for three weeks. This is the trip I had to postpone from last month following the calamity which befell my car when it was written off whilst parked!

I hope the MRI scan goes well, dragonfly46 and you have a good journey, Georgesgran.

A good day to you all.🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
