Anyone else fed up with all the stupid adverts that are getting shown and all the ones for simple cremations

I've noticed that Lorraine Kelly is narrating an advert for something. Can't recall what. But I recognised the voice and checked. She must be feeling the pinch now that her dreadful breakfast show has been reduced to 30 minutes for a few weeks a year. I've never liked her at all

Gransnet seems to be a TV advertisers dream... love 'em or hate 'em they seem to be working!

I get annoyed by presenters on BBC
advertising how they do their reporting I think it's pointless and suggesting they give unbiased reporting It's like they think making these claims will make viewers believe they are amazing reporters and unbiased I object to the time wasted and idea that telling viewers how good they are at the job will help in some way

You must live abroad. You see, the BBC don't have advertisements.

I get annoyed hearing celebrities doing voiceovers on adverts. They must be paid huge amounts for a job that a jobbing actor could do just as well.

They are very much apparently aimed at younger women, aren't they. By younger at my age I think of post giving birth or maybe early menopause. Think of that one with the pads then bums up doing yoga etc.
I dont mind these apparently TMI ads, just wondering if we'll see them for men actually adverted.

grin

There is one.

I've not seen that one before.
No more dribble dramas.

I do love the one where the woman is looking horrified at a flock of sheep in her living room ‘Dave! I said to bring the SHEETS in’ 😂😂

That annoys me too!! Judi Dench must be rich enough not to need to do adverts

I like some of the Specsavers ads often shown before Emmerdale and Corrie to promote their audiology services. They are all misheard conversations.

My current favourite is the one with the police sergeant saying to her junior “I told you to watch the suspect’s car”.
The camera then turns to the rookie officer who is washing the suspect’s windscreen. A grumpy Grant Mitchell style face appears in the driving seat when the officer runs the squeegee over the suds.

As you can see, I’ve got too much time on my hands 😀

I used to like the one with the vet trying to resuscitate a hat. smile

I’ve seen one advertising toilet rolls, aimed specifically at pregnant women, because apparently quite a high percentage of women (of a smallish number surveyed) are afraid of “pooing” when giving birth. Just another thing for pregnant women to worry about. I’ve only ever seen the ad once, so I wondered if it had been pulled after complaints.
The other one is the young couple at a concert singing about cremation and the audience whoops and cheers at the end. Bizarre!

My favourite advert which I'll always happily watch is Nationwide. The expressions on Dominic West's face are to die for!

The other guy is also brilliant, as he calmly informs him about all the things Nationwide does for its customers. No drama, just tells him straight. 😂
