Good morning all from Berwick where again it’s cool and cloudy although earlier the sun was showing its face. Yesterday was a much better day weather wise than forecast. My friend and I spent the morning visiting Bamburgh castle Crazy dog (with DH) went for a long walk along the beach which he thoroughly enjoyed, unlike on the boat trip in the afternoon where he spent the time with his tail tucked firmly between his legs.
We however had an enjoyable and exhilarating trip over to the Farne islands where the spray from the boat thoroughly soaked us. Thousands of seabirds to be seen, heard and smelled!
We looked out for the Orca as suggested by Georgesgran but it wasn’t around. I’m sure the basking seals were very relieved!
This morning we will explore Berwick and depending on the time maybe drive on St Abbs.

Good morning from Yorkshire where the sky is grey and it is wet underfoot.
I have never had a holiday where I have been so cold. Yesterday we visited Helmsley and I had five layers of clothing on and still felt chilled.
Last day today, lunch out and then a relaxed afternoon.

Yesterday we had it all, rain, sun, wind and it was so cold.
Shortly I will walk 10 year old DGD to school. I'm really getting my steps in this week.
DD1 and SIL are having a brilliant time in Scotland on the banks of Loch Tay. Today they are visiting a distillery, SIL'S birthday present from DD1. They will be home late tomorrow.

Toddlers not so busy yesterday I think the wind and the rain put people off, trying to avoid a heavy hail downpour I tripped up some steps and now have lovely bruised arm.
Had a nice curry with the family have posted a picture of the card the boys sent DH, he said it's all very true especially the last one😀.
Over to our Redditch friends this evening for a few hours.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where, after all yesterdays meteorological shenanigans, the sun is shining!

Bellasnanna, I also used to build Brio train tracks with GS. We still have boxes of Brio in the loft, which comes out for the visiting younger generation of our family who are endlessly entertained by it. No motors, or digital this and that - pure fun and imagination.
DS, back from his travels, rang last night for a long chat.

I shall go to walking group this morning though I expect after all yesterday’s rain it will be greasy underfoot in the woods. I’ll have my usual lunch with DD and then call in on my niece with a card for her GD’s fourth birthday. She starts school this year. How time flies!

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, but heavy showers expected this afternoon, as we had yesterday, which our paid to my plans of gardening. So I did manage to vacuum the.sitting room furniture and do a few other household jobs.
Of course the window cleaner came yesterday in the middle of all the showers!

I also rang a friend and arranged a trip out for lunch in a couple of weeks time.

A busy morning ahead, getting a chilli into the slow cooker before going out to the hairdressers at lunchtime so will also need to have a late breakfast as I shall miss lunch.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Still cold here with sudden downpours.

My WiFi. (Or do I mean broadband?) has been playing up for a couple of days. At Lidl I was told it's not just me it's the server.

I wish I still had a landline.

Yesterday my house was surveyed for the home report and I viewed a possible house for sale. I wished it ticked a few more boxes. I come away from most viewings feeling guilty that I am far too fussy or wondering why I am moving.

Sorry to hear about your niece's baby Bella. What a worry.

Good morning from a bright, sunny Durham, but it’s cold. My holiday laundry is to finish and there’s some admin to see to. However, a quiet day in store with DD2’s Little Dog here, but I need to check on my rental house later. The sale is progressing, but so very slowly.
