Good morning from an overcast Bristol. I hope today’s forecast rain does happen. Yesterday’s was for about 1 minute and very light. We so need it.
We were quite busy at FABcafe in the morning, the usual lot but they seem to have mixed more than usual, which is nice. To my surprise, my favourite (youngish) volunteer came up to me and gave me a hug. Then another also volunteered a hug. That physical human contact from my two lovely male friends is something I miss so much. It was really sweet of both and made my day.
As people left earlier than usual, I came home and had time for a bit of a rest before going to the library, to lead the book group. The choice was Colm Toibin’s “The Magician”, a biography of Thomas Mann, plumped out with fictional thoughts. All the very many protagonists and events are true. It went really well as I led a conversation, rather than going round and asking each on their opinion. One of the five (3 were missing) thanked me for leading!
Today, t’ai chi and dinner at DD’s. I’ll be able to get news of DGD’s exams. I hope she does well as I’ve barely seen her with all her revision.
Hugs to all in need. Carpe diem 🐦‍🔥🦩🦩🦩🦩 (it’s a phoenix)

Good morning from Malta where we expect a partly cloudy day with a high of 22°C.

Picked the boys up yesterday and entertained them until 5.30. They were very good. We made a huge train track with DS’s old Brio train set which tgey played with for ages.

Had worrying news from my niece in Edinburgh. Her son (15 months) is in hospital after having febrile seizures.

He seems to be doing better but whenever he sleeps his oxygen levels drop quite low so they can’t release him until they get to the bottom of it.

He also fell out of bed yesterday and banged his head so is not having a happy time, poor little chap.

I have a free day today so will run some errands and do some cleaning. There’s a lot of sand in the air which makes everywhere so dusty, and eyes very itchy!

I’m very worried about madeleine as it’s such a long time since we heard from her. I miss her lovely posts.😞

Wishing a good day to all and best wishes to all going through difficult times. ☀️

Good morning from a damp Black Country where it rained overnight, and rained off and on most of yesterday.

Audiology appointment this morning at 9.15, so out early. I am having a hearing test, which is due as they only do this every 5 years. My hearing is definitely down, as I struggle to hear people chatting when out walking.

Hoping the medics get to the bottom of what is causing these seizures to your Great Nephew Bellas, a very worrying time for your Niece and the family.

Hopefully Madeline is just away on holiday.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning everyone!
Just been catching up with the last couple of days.
Belated happy birthday to Harrigran. 🎂
Susan56 you made me smile when you said you were allowed to sail at Moelfre. Perhaps your parents didn't know about the dangerous currents! 😯
So sorry to read about Blossoming's new health setback.
Like Bellasnanna, I hope all's well with Madeleine. I used to enjoy her vivid descriptions of beautiful Yorkshire.

We had a quiet day yesterday after a stormy night.
Today we're off to meet up with a friend who lives on Anglesey. She's the reason we discovered Anglesey as she met and married a local man over 30 years ago.
Wishing you all the best day possible. 🌻

Good morning from a bright sunny S E Essex 6°

No plans for today, I might pop up to Lakeside for a mooch round the shops.

The 11 yr old is here for his weekly sleepover tonight. He finishes SATS week this afternoon, four days of tests is a lot for year sixes.

Worrying for your niece and family Bellasnana

I do hope we here from Madeleine soon 🤞🏻
