Good Morning Everyone,
Its light but with a grey sky over Brackley this morning.
Todays plans after the Chiropodist as cut my toes is to get the bus into Bicester ,shop and maybe talk to those I know.
I did a bit of an extra day yesterday having had my eyes checked at the hospital in Banbury ,I decided to have a bus trip , I caught the bus outside the Hospital , and went to Summertown in Oxford , then got another bus to Bicester, did a shop, and then got a bus back to Brackley .
Heath OK,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a chilly breezy north west coast after a late night.
I spent yesterday putting stuff in a suitcase against my hols on Saturday and hope the weather warms up a bit for Cornwall. I’m thinking of it in the same vein as my Isle of Man holidays, so a thick sweater will be part of the packing.
Last night to the opera co rehearsal in the city and out afterwards with old friends. I set off each week thinking I’ll come home straight after the rehearsal, but hardly ever do, they are such good company and we go back a long way, including tours abroad.
Sorry your DIL sounds so troubled Gingster, it sounds upsetting.
Thoughts to all🌺
Good morning from a breezy, dry Durham. I’m not sleeping well and don’t feel rested. Little Dog went home last night - DGS2 was pleased to see him although he said he wanted to stay on holiday in the sun.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee/lunch today and I think the gardeners will be here today or tomorrow - they haven’t decided on a set day yet this year, but it’s just the usual maintenance. I might tackle more cleaning later - the hard floors need mopping now the dog has gone.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Damp here.
I had a good long lie this morning as I don't have to leave the house until 10am.
I was at a wonderful concert in Musselburgh last night. It was in a church as the Brunton Hall is permanently closed before it's to be demolished. It's a great shame that the modern building materials were so bad that a big structure like this is irreparable.
I have a guest this weekend but before that I must try to make the house more attractive to potential buyers.
Have a lovely holiday Stilllearning
I'm glad yours was so nice brook
I know you are a stoic Rosesandlilac but I wondered at the wooden blanket 😄
Enjoy your final few days in the sunshine FGT
Ignore the annoying words Marydoll
We need another meetup when the holidays are over and I've sold my house!
The dentist was ok yesterday but I have now booked myself in for an implant.
Have a good day everyone.
Good late-for-me morning from a beautifully cool, breezy Cornwall where I've been pottering on my patio, tying up a tall verbena and gently squeezing my newly planted oregano and marjoram. 😄
Today I will have fun going by train and bus to collect my dad's painting from the auction house. The wind is due to be 43mph at the precise time I'll be emerging with the rather large package under my arm so I may have to resort to a taxi to get back to the station. Actually I think I may unpack the painting and pop it in a bin bag as it's oil on board and will be very robust, and much easier to carry that way.
My resident robin has just visited and given me a 'please feed me' look which sears my soul. I reminded him about the rats and he hopped off and found a beakful of insects instead. 😊
Morning all from a very wet Biggar where I am staying with DD4 for a couple of nights before heading off to Tuscany early tomorrow morning. It’s a much shorter run cross country to Edinburgh airport from here.
I’m going with my sister and brother in law again so it should be good fun as well as being in such a beautiful area. Only problem is the temperature being rather higher than we expected at the start of June. My sister has bought us a parasol each which are so large that we will have to walk one behind the other😂 I wonder if we will use them😊
Your holiday photos were beautiful Brooke, what a lovely journey.
The wheelchair is such a good idea harrigran, I hope our friend who is now housebound can come round to the idea of using one.
I am glad your visit to Malaga on your own has gone so well FGT, it was a brave decision.
Sending good wishes to everyone and always keeping in mind those with heavier burdens to carry.
Morning, sun and cloud now but rain forecast all day, it was wet yesterday until about 4.
Welcome back brook
MrJ has an infected hair follicle giving him some grief, Dr was seen Monday, nurse today, so disturbed nights, he’s very uncomplaining.
I think today will be mainly indoors, we have vouchers for our local butcher, but they will wait.
I hope those under the weather improve today and travellers stay safe.
🦩🦩
Good morning all and it’s breezy with drizzle here in Essex.
Yesterday I did Bank visit , was in there for over half an hour but very satisfied with the service. We’re very lucky to have two/three banks in our town.
I met up with S daughter in the pub for lunch. She immediately burst into tears.
Oh dear. She’s finding having two little boys very overwhelming and can’t seem to control the 4 yr old at all. She also works 3 days a week but has a very ‘hands on’ husband, so life should be easier for her., This child seems to rule the roost.
I held her hand and listened and could see that they are loving, kind parents but with no idea how to get on top of the problem. Not my place to give opinions, but told her she would get through it . She has no mum and the in laws don’t want to know.
It was so chilly last evening, I had dressing gown and a blanket round me. This time last week I was sweltering.
Today my friend is picking me up to go visit another friend who has just had a knee replacement.
Safe journey home GG
Take care all ☔️
Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
I did very little yesterday. I had planned to continue my decluttering, however when I returned from the surgery, I felt unwell and in a lot of pain, so I did nothing.
I also had a blinding headache and felt nauseous, but finding my very last anti nausea pill helped.
DIL, had been next door, visiting her mother, who has spinal stenosis, and came in with Dollie ♥️
DiL is always so negative and has no filters just like her parents.
The doorbell rang, but I couldn't get up out of the chair. I commented, that I was nearly as bad as her mother, as my hips had locked.
Her dismissive response; You are no where near as bad as my mother. I was quite upset, as I hadn't slept much, due to my high pain levels. I wasn't aware I was in competition with her mother. 😉
I am putting it down to her poor mental health, after her major surgery. She is a very attractive girl, but is losing her beautiful long blonde hair, and experiencing other physical changes, due to the trauma her body has experienced.
Later, we were most surprised, when we saw her mother driving to the Social Club, especially, since her mother had told DILshe was so unwell, she couldn't drive. 🤔!
Last night, the P.P phoned. At this moment, he is in the air, somewhere between Glasgow and Rome. I am so envious, for he is officiating at a wedding in Rome, then staying in a castle for four days! I do miss Rome so much.
We had a good, long chat, there is never usually enough time .
The curate is also away, so I will need to keep an eye on things.
The P.P was worried his tiger lillies were about to flower and he would miss the reveal, so asked me to take a photo.
I don't feel too good today, therefore a day at home,
It is time for a handbag cull, there are many!
Also, it is my friend's birthday in a few weeks and her DH's 70th today, so gifts to wrap.
I wish you all, a pleasant day and best wishes to all, who are struggling.
Good morning from Shropshire.Heavy rain overnight and windy and chilly at the moment.
Mum was so delighted to see us yesterday which was lovely but after about ten minutes was exhausted and slept so we mainly chatted to the carers.
It was a long and busy day yesterday and then my blood sugars plummeted so I was up late getting them regulated so feel rubbish today. We are out for a couple of hours this afternoon but otherwise a quiet day.
Grandmabatty glad that yesterday went well for dgs2!
Gelisajams I had a similar ear problem several years ago so can imagine how scared you felt.Hope you feel better today and you too Gagagran.Such a shame after you have been rehearsing for so long.I hope you are well enough for the concert.
Wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩
Please bring the sun back fgt. Really missing it after the heatwave we've had. Safe journey home
Returning home today, after an interesting break in York. We have been relatively lucky with the weather, just a shower yesterday morning, and a really quick very light shower Tuesday morning.
As usual I am behind with the good morning news 🙋♀️
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s warm with a few grey clouds
Good to hear your cataract operation went so well BlueSapphire with good results, so pleased for you
Thank you all for your kind words about our holidays, I’m looking forward to a quiet day today after arriving home safely last night. It was chaotic at Milan airport, we eventually made it to the gate with only a couple of minutes to spare, the queues were very long and slow moving. It didn’t help what we were quizzed for a while at border control as their system couldn’t find our entry into Italy so didn’t want to let us leave! Eventually after explaining we’d entered Switzerland first and then travelled into Italy by train with no border controls our explanation was accepted - a real fiasco though! It’s lovely to go away as always but so good to be home too.
Enjoy your last couple of days away fgt and yes please for the sunshine
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning everyone from a bright, sunny and also damp Northampton. We are also expecting heavy showers again today, like we had yesterday.
I had a generally lazy day, resting after cataract surgery; I am not allowed to do much; no lifting or bending down; the.nurse said to do nothing that stirred up dust like dusting or hoovering or digging the garden! My eye is.no longer so sensitive to the light, and is not uncomfortable at all and just feels normal.
I find I can use my regular glasses for reading. And I can now watch tv without my glasses, so it will be even better.when the other eye is done. I should need just reading glasses afterwards, not vari-focals which I have at the moment.
DS called in yesterday afternoon, bearing flowers, and was surprised to see me looking normal! He expected me to be bandaged up with an eye patch on! He kindly took the bins out for me, and will drop by early evening to bring them in.
His partner was head-hunted this week and offered a new job with a very generous pay rise; she handed in her notice to her current employer, who was so shocked at losing her that they offered to match the pay rise if she would stay with them! Which is what she has decided to do as it is a good job with generous conditions, and she is happy there.
Another quiet day at home probably reading; DD has promised to call in after her riding lesson this afternoon. Sainsbury's will be delivering at lunchtime and I will ask the driver to lift the heavy stuff for me and help with unpacking.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Good morning from another dull and cloudy Black Country.
Met DS for lunch yesterday, and it rained off and on most of the day.
Today I am meeting Aunt and Cousin with Mum for lunch. Seems lunch outings are like buses
Thursday walk first though, so meeting at 1.30 giving me chance to shower and change after the walk.
Wishing you all the best day possible
Good morning from a cool NE after heavy overnight rain.
The heating is on which is unusual for this time of year.
Sister didn't come yesterday as she had a nasty cold but BIL came and took me shopping and then unpacked my wheelchair for me.
Last night DD sent photo, she was travelling from Ottawa to Montreal for the second half of her working week in Canada.
Today I have nothing planned so will tidy some cupboards and maybe rearrange wardrobes.
Have a good day.
P.s. I do love sitting on my little balcony (waiting for the washing machine to finish its cycle) and watching the swifts doing their loop de loops - so many birds this morning. Maybe the heat has increased their ‘insect’ breakfasts? 🤷♀️
Yes, please, fgt!
Yes FGT ! No sign of it in the offing here.
Good morning Mick and everyone from rainy Carlisle. It seems to be the same everywhere today.
Yesterday was showery and I was inside during the morning getting housework done. After lunch, I got a walk in, nicely timed as it started showering again shortly after my return and we had a rather wet evening.
I started a new book, Kafka's 'The Trial', it's like reading someone's bad dream, it's weird but I shall persist.
Today, more sprucing up ready for next week's visitors including that rare job, wiping down my skirting boards!
The hospital has given me a cancellation for the osteoporosis clinic..in July so not 6 months or so hence. Just a few weeks to consider whether I'll take their infusion or not.
I'd liked to garden this afternoon but it's more likely to be 'The Trial'. I hope it won't be one of my rare abandons.
Sounds like it's going to be a boring day!
Hope yours isn't, have a good one.
Reading your posts thus far it seems I’d best hook some of this Spanish sunshine to the plane and drag it home with me on Saturday afternoon!
Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.
We are heading south today to DD stopping off on our way to Kent on Friday where we are for the weekend with our whole little family.
I hope it doesn’t rain the whole time.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning all from a blowy and grey North Leicestershire.
Bit of an earlier start for me because we have a Memory Cafe this morning. Sainsbury's delivery later.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone from a drenched Lancashire. We're due storms later so I think today will be mainly indoors.
Yesterday a friend came over and had lunch with us. It was nice to catch up. Our sons have been good friends for years which is how we met.
I need to nip out to my local wool shop at some point. I've started knitting a scarf using up some of my stashed wool, but have realised there won't be enough to finish it. So much for my good intentions!
Hope everyone has the best day possible. Take care. 🌻
Good morning from W Kent where it is very wet with blue sky!
Yesterday didn’t go to plan due to the rain but plenty of book sorting has resulted in two empty shelves so a bit of a result.
Art this morning and then not sure what
Best wishes
