Good morning from Malta where it’s sunny with a high of 34°C forecast. (Yes, Grammaretto I’m used to it after 45 years and most of us do have a/c, unlike when I first arrived here and there was none in either cars nor buildings 🥵)

Today would have been DH’s birthday and it’s also a year today since my lovely brother-in-law died suddenly and unexpectedly, so I shall be lighting a candle for them and thinking of two very special men who lived for their families.

I have got the boys this afternoon so will look forward to seeing them. They are the best tonic.

I was so sorry to read Marydoll’s news yesterday. We all have to carry our Cross but some people definitely seem to a heavier one than others.

I hope you will have better news of your brother Gagagran. What a worry for you all.

Thinking of you all and sending best wishes to all who are suffering in one way or another.

Photo of my little backyard. Wish you could join me for a coffee, it’s lovely and cool out there in the morning but an oven after noon. ☀️ ☕️

Good morning from a damp Bristol.
The weather seems to have settled in a really wet, chilly and disagreeable morning, then the sun comes out interspersed with sudden heavy showers. I got caught in one yesterday afternoon.
bella, what a lovely backyard. Very stylish and so good to have somewhere for the boys to play.
MD, I hope things are better now, with more help and understanding from the medics, and from your family too.
We had a good FAB cafe yesterday, the numbers are slowly climbing up again, which is good. The coffee cake went down well and there was enough left for Saturday when I’m serving coffee again.
In the afternoon, I had my library book group. The discussion went well but was short, so we talked about the books we have read recently.
I took the opportunity to get some cash from the building society and ink for my printer.
I’ve got the dentist early this morning; I think I’m in for an X-ray. Ouch to my bank balance. Then taichi.
I’m not going to DD’s to dinner as she is area Dean and has a big diocesan synod meeting. Next week.
I absolutely must do my Spanish homework, and watch a video on dopamine before writing something about it.
May today bring contentment to you all. 🐦‍🔥 Carpe diem 🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning from Sheffield
I wish it would stop raining. I have two beautiful pink peony plants, you can guarantee that when they are in full bloom we have gales and torrential rain

I have my osteopath appointment this afternoon. I am seeing a small improvement in my back at last. I have had sciatica for just a year now. He said it could take up to two years to recover completely. I should be grateful that it is getting better, a lot of people live with chronic pain

The family are here for tea, a chaotic evening ahead. As soon as they leave at about 8.30 we go straight to bed grin

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from the NE Mids. Some cloud and a gentle breeze at present but apparently more of the wet stuff later.
Busy morning planned followed by a restful afternoon hopefully.
Have a good day one and all!

Morning from a bright S Hants, rain on the way.
Your yard is delightful * Bellas* a very social space.
Yesterday we had a couple of showers, the podiatrist came and cut my toenails. It’s a job I’m determined to get back to. Mr to the nurse today for a dressing change and I’ve got my annual blood test.
Glad you enjoyed the film * Mick*
Have a good day all.

Good morning all from the Black country.
Haven't been posting for some time don't feel I have a lot to write about as most days seem the same. I do read every day but not until later.
DH has a fishing contest today and I am visiting my friend who moved to Wellington during covid, although we keep in touch it will be my first visit bit apprehensive as it involves train journey not done before.
Was sorry to read Marydoll's news yesterday.
Gagagran hope there is better news of your brother.
Wishing everyone a good day, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.☀️

Good morning from 100% rainy Cambridgeshire. I am so fed up with the rain. I managed an early walk around a local National Trust property yesterday before thunder and lightning came and torrential rain showers. My poor garden everything is being battered. DH is bowling today the match may be interesting with heavy rain. Oh Bella I would definitely like a little of your weather sending over.

I have my Pilates class this morning and a pedicure this afternoon. I still have a few bedding plants to pot up so hoping for a dry evening when I may be able to do this.

I am sad to read of so many of you struggling with health and family worries and do hope today may be easier. Also missing hearing from Blossoming Pantglas and Madelaine. There are other posters that are missing too. I don’t always get a chance to read and post daily but enjoy a catch up when I can on everyone’s news. Karma please send some of your energies over to me I am amazed at what you achieve and really enjoy your posts. Take care everyone and have a good day 🌷

The pics are from my walk yesterday

Good morning from s somerset, wet, cooler and dull today, no sun

My apple tree has survived, it is still standing after I used a lump hammer to get 2 x 7` strong iron rods in for support, they are 5` down, shows how loose the soil was after all the wind and rain. The tree was swaying a lot in the wind and was in danger. Wrong time of year or not, I sawed a few heavy branches off on the leeward side. It now has an extra two strong rubber ties on the trunk. Fingers crossed

Yesterday was very full, again and my dress is finished as well as the wardrobes. I have started sorting patterns again, dresses yesterday and have decided to only keep the patterns that I have already tested and like, plus those I feel as though I will like after making. Some have too much waist and will be going, for now they are in a box of their own. Next stage for them is removal of those unused patterns, several are pdf prints. I am keeping a simple record in a new notebook

Today will just be sewing and pottering as I have been hard at work morn to night for the past few days. The Casseopee dress is next, I unearthed it yesterday. A very simple dress, oversized and roomy and I have taken a length of viscose out of stash for my toile. I am looking forward to making it

My car is fully loaded, I need to do a re-cycling run later

Good morning from an overcast Torbay.

A poignant day for you, Bellasnana so having the boys will be helpful.

Thinking of Marydoll and her DH.

I have a telephone appointment with my cardiologist this morning to discuss the results of an ECG and echocardiogram I had recently, the first for two years. Later the boiler is due to be serviced so an indoor day ahead.

DH was so impressed with my replacement car that he’s bought a Ford Puma for himself! I wish I felt as fond of mine but I guess I’m still adjusting to the sudden loss of my Fiesta.

Have a good day if you can, everyone. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning all from a greyish North Leicestershire.

This morning I am helping with Memories in Sheds - not one of my usual volunteering roles but the staff member has no one to engage with the carers. We seem quite low on volunteers at the moment.

DH is meeting friends at the marina for coffee. Sainsbury's delivery at tea time.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Thu 11-Jun-26 06:51:13

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9° and cloudy. Bellasnana your courtyard looks lovely and welcoming.
Yesterday was another good day. I cleaned the food cupboard thoroughly and threw out everything that was out of date. In the afternoon I went to the nursery for a stay and play session and was glad I had decided to go. Dgs2 was so obviously delighted I was there. His nursery teacher said he'd been looking out for me coming. He showed me all his favourite things and we played with the dolls house, dolls, bricks and rockets. His little friend and his mum were with us and it was just lovely to see dgs2 so happy. At one point, I sat down to read him a story and before I could start, 4 other wee boys were cuddling in and listening too. It was really sweet. The weather was awful with some spells of really heavy rain so it curtailed outdoor activities. At night dd sent me the class teachers for the coming session and both boys have lovely teachers so that's good.
Today I will do an hour in the school library. Then home to continue with Dr's painting. I might clear out another kitchen cupboard- the one with baking ingredients and jams etc, but I will decide later. I'm going to make a chicken pie for dinner. Enjoy your day.

harrigran Thu 11-Jun-26 07:16:56

Good morning from an overcast and cool NE.
Yesterday was shopping day and a chat with my sister and BIL.
I am expecting a delivery today with a time slot of between 10am and 2pm so will sort the recycling and do some reading.

Sorry to hear Marydoll's DH requires further investigations.

A quick Good Morning from N. Bucks.
My DGS is out of hospital , very bruised and with lots of pain killers. He face timed me in the afternoon which made me tearful. Although I had been told he was ok it was such a relief to see it for myself.
My busy day today , art, sewing and choir.
Wishing you all a good day especially those with worries and problems.

Redcar Thu 11-Jun-26 07:21:58

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. The forecast rain hasn’t arrived here yet but I’m sure it’s on its way. Yesterday was mostly bright but with a couple of really heavy showers.
I cleaned the kitchen yesterday, and really need to clear out one of the cupboards, but am at DD1’s today so the cupboard will have to wait.
bellasnanna a day of memories for you today. Your courtyard looks very inviting!

karma I thought of you yesterday as I was tying to assemble a small item and dropped a small screw on the floor! I heard it roll on the laminate floor but still haven’t found it! I abandoned what I was trying to do but will try again tomorrow. I’ll think of another way to attach the two bits together!

Thinking of all who are anxious or in pain and hoping that life improves for you.

Have as good a day as is possible for you all.

brook2704 Thu 11-Jun-26 07:32:39

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry and bright just now, rain forecast later
Bellasnanna a difficult day for you, enjoy your two little treasures later, pictures are lovely and welcoming
Yesterday was a day of sunshine and showers, I came out of the gym and got soaked just going to the car. I was hoping to do some gardening in the afternoon but got rained off. Hopefully a bit better today. DS sent some pictures from Switzerland, where we’d enjoyed sunny warm weather less than 2 weeks ago, it was now covered in snow - we’d been really lucky!
Marydoll ❤️
Please carry on posting Monk if you can, I enjoy reading about day to day things and it’s good to hear from you
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

dragonfly46 Thu 11-Jun-26 07:33:10

Good morning from cloudy Leicestershire.

Your back yard looks very inviting Bellasnana

We managed to hear from the hospital yesterday and it was just to make an appointment for DH to discuss his time in ICU. He can’t remember most of it but I can.
Still no results so we hope no news is good news.

Today I need to take some trousers back, pick up some new ones and go to the butcher as DS is coming at the weekend and wants to cook for us. DH has to stay at home for a wine delivery.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Gelisajams Thu 11-Jun-26 07:37:44

Good morning all from cloudy Mablethorpe where we spent the night. Today we will head to Sandringham on our road trip down the east coast, but I don’t think there will be too much exploring on foot - I’ve seen the weather forecast! Soggy dogs and camper vans are not a good combination. The last couple of campsites have been really nice, very quiet and lots of wildlife including deer, hares and hedgehogs. We’ve driven through lots of very heavy rain but so far have managed to explore in the dry.
DS2 is still waiting for his house purchase to go through. In the meantime his mortgage broker spotted the interest rate had gone down a little so has got him a new mortgage offer a touch cheaper. It couldn’t be a more straightforward transaction as he’s buying off his landlord, but it seems to be taking forever.

A poignant day for you, Bellasnana

Thinking of Marydolland her DH and all with troubles and worries.
I hope my fellow Lancastrian Blossoming is getting better and wish we knew about Madeleine
Take care 🌸
