Good morning, Michael12 and all!
I did as I said I would last night: no YouTube or reading, as my hooter and face were in a lot of pain, so I just had a mug of milk and a yoghurt before bed, but I managed to get a reasonable night's sleep, drugged up with painkillers, flat on my back with an ice pack stuck to my face! Medics said it takes about 6 weeks to heal, but if I have any more problems with it after, then to see my doctor.
Just before work this morning, I went to the local newsagent and grabbed one of these lovely choccy bars and a can of Monster Nitro!

He also sells a few books, so I bought The Witchfinder's Sister, by Beth Underdown, as I've been fascinated by Matthew Hopkins and John Stearne for years, and have been to Essex/Manningtree quite a few times over time.
Last night, about 10, I was in a vicious battle - not with the chemist floor this time! - but one of those huge black flies, not a normal little one, but a massive thing built like an Airbus A380 and incredibly loud and buzzy. Looks like it could benchpress 4 fully loaded shipping containers and toss them a few miles! While I hate normal flies, I REALLY hate these Airbuses!
The snotmonster was flying around bionically all around my flat. I opened the door; all the blinds and windows were open, so I was hoping it would shoot out, but we all know flies are able to get IN but can't easily get out!
It actually physically buzzed my head twice, and I was hysterical! So I went to the kitchen cupboard for my trusty tin of Raid and stalked it into my office, where I just managed to spray it before it zigzagged off!
Okeydokey, see you all later!
