Good Morning all from a sunny and warm central south coast but with a lovely breeze so it's not humid. I can cope with the heat when there is no or little humidity. That's what is so draining.

DS and DDiL came to see us yesterday and endured a long and hot drive round the M25 and down the A3. Traffic was nose to tail all the way and they were late for our lunch booking. It was a good catch up though and the food at the nearby cafe/restaurant was freshly prepared and very tasty - if portions were a bit too large sized for me.

I am still recovering from my nasty fall last week and hope the slow progress speeds up. The promised heatwave will not help so there will be very little done this week I suspect.

My big brother is slowly fading away in the hospice but is being kept pain free and comfortable and my dear niece sends regular updates and pictures. She has been so kind and thoughtful. Hospices are a wonderful place. He has spells of lucidity and is calm and philosophical and very grateful to be where he wanted to end his days.

Good wishes to all our GNs with worries or struggles and hope today brings some relief.

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Will take doggy out in a minute. He sleeps in the garden all night.
This afternoon I am going for afternoon tea to a local garden centre where the tables are scattered under the trees.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 13°C.

I have little news, my exhaustion is overwhelming, which means, I can do very little, without having to stop for a rest.

My news from the hospital on Friday. regarding my critical, abnormally low, immune system results, has knocked me for six.
In all the years, I have been taking immunosuppressants, it has never been so low.
At least I know why I have been feeling very unwell.
Word of advice, don't use Dr, Google to do research on your issues!
Rather discombobulating.😪

My biggest concern is DH, who is becoming increasingly unwell, with no sign of a diagnosis. How on earth am I going to look after him?

GM, I can't wait to see what you do with your fabrics.

Roses ♥️

For those on holiday and those preparing to go, enjoy!!

Have a pleasant day folks.

Good morning from Morecambe from a warm muggy Morecambe Bay. The noisy neighbours are busy with their extension, with the digger thing one of them has, to lift stuff up, being reved up ready for action and lots of raised voices. It’s a pain two neighbours are having major work done at the same time.
I’m not feeling great this morning, it could be the heat or my ear infection. Or both. Perhaps a walk in the cool woods will help. Not a lot planned for this week apart from a couple of appointments so I’ll take things easy. Thinking of all with more serious problems than me especially Glammagran and her DD. Take care everyone 🌸

Good Morning from Durham. We’re in for a warm, muggy day, but barely reaching 21. I can cope with that, I might even put the car roof down - I don’t do it often. Yesterday was spent washing and ironing my holiday laundry, so it’s back to ‘normal’ with a bump today. I was only away for a week, but the lounge windows are draped in fine cobwebs!
Usual coffee with a friend at 10.30 this morning, then I must get cards for several upcoming birthdays. A garden afternoon, on the cards.
I’m very sorry to read both RosesandL’s and Marydoll’s posts - worrying times - I hope today passes without more issues surfacing. 💐

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where we have a forecast of 27°C which is lovely.

I have a mammogram at a hospital at noon. A short bus ride away. I have health anxiety at the best of times and now Himself is no longer with me I have to guard against my apprehension of results running away with me.

I bought an England flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to pin up on my balcony as support in the World Cup. I think being right in the town centre opposite the railway station it’d be uplifting and cheery. Then just now I decided against pinning it to the railings… what it it came adrift and floated down onto the busy road below ~ maybe draping itself on some unsuspecting car driver’s window? 😱

Common sense prevailed (this is when I miss Himself) and I’ve pinned it up in the corner of the balcony attached to the bracket which usually houses a hanging basket (not gotten around to buying one this year nor last) and it’s fluttering majestically in the cool breeze. Should be safe …

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s dull and 12*.

Sending good wishes to your DD Glammagran, and to you too MD.

Yesterday was pleasant, our local friends popped in for a chat. Their dog very sadly had to be pts this week, we sat in the garden and they made such a fuss of our wee daft dog.

Today I will pack for our trip, I’ve made lists. grin

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from a dry NE, no sun as yet but promised a high of 21°.
Yesterday I went out to the garden several times but found it too breezy to sit out. Last attempt at fresh air was used to water the patio pots.
I was quite unwell again so did not overstretch myself, all the family are away on holiday so no back up.
GD posted wonderful photos of Lindisfarne, most atmospheric were at sunset.
Have a good day.

Greyduster Mon 22-Jun-26 08:37:54

Harri you have my sympathy. I, too, have been ‘flying solo’ since both my children and their families are out of the country. Not something I’d like to happen too often!

Good morning and it’s rather overcast here in Essex.
This heat drags everyone to a halt and just has to be endured.

I won’t go to Music and memories today as it would be a bus ride and a walk. I’ve been offered lifts but it would be out of people’s way. Not fair!

Yesterday was lovely with various family members popping in with Fathers Day cards and gifts. Useful things and lots of chocolate - his favourite !

Dd will be popping in for coffee and bringing me milk, which I’m low on, it will save me venturing out 🥵.

Marydoll so sorry you’re feeling really unwell and the worry of your dh doesn’t help. Take it easy . 🌺.

Hope the day is pleasant for all ☀️

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. No heatwave here thankfully!

My back is still troublesome so I don't have much sleep.

The midsummer garden party was delightful yesterday . My friends have a beautiful garden full of the scents of roses. The food and company was good too.

Today exercise class and a meeting later to plan our open studios later in the summer.

I shall speak to my estate agent too as the house sale has gone quiet.

I hope the gastro thingimy isn't too bad R&L flowers

Well done your DGD Ash -proud gran.

Another lovely quilt GM

Thinking of those struggling today.
Keep cool or keep cosy depending where you are!

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, a hot day ahead. Thank goodness nothing is planned except a bit of washing; will just sit indoors and read.

A good day in town yesterday watching my rugby team's open-top bus parade after winning the premiership; managed to get a good space to watch from, a table in a pub's outside seating area and was able to save seats for DD and her DH, and was sat there with a bottle of chilled rose when they arrived.
The team eventually got off the buses and I was able to wriggle my way to the front and shake hands with and thank many individual players.

Had a lift home from DD, had dinner and promptly fell asleep in the armchair!

Eventually got to bed, but was woken at 4am by my house alarm going off; on investigation it was apparently the back door according to the control panel, but no disturbance found, so I then had to reset the alarm.

Wishing all a pleasant Monday, and hope everyone manages to stay cool.

A shot of yesterday's bus parade.

Good morning from Sunnyside northwest coast. Into the city yesterday by train to meet friends for a matinee opera concert. Sadly as we met up, I had a message on our own opera concert WhatsApp to say one of our colleagues had died unexpectedly. No age and we were very saddened.

After the concert, which was very well done, but not for me, we had a meal and at the end, I had such severe cramp in my thigh, I jumped out of my seat in agony. One of the worst bouts I have ever had, excruciating, cry out loud pain. I had been sitting in the concert from two until five and then sitting through the meal. I also believe my statins mixed with a couple of drinks set it off. No magnesium spray with me, which I don’t think would have helped this time.
I need to speak to a doc and maybe change my statins. Apart from that, it was a nice day! A quiet day beckons.

Thoughts to RosesandLilac Glammagran and all with worries🌺
