Why don’t men shave any more?

Not shaving makes a man look scruffy, especially when beards contain a grey mix. I always imagine particles from air or food can get trapped in beards and moustaches. Makes me cringe.

Once men are older and grey, with beards, they all look alike.
I have three neighbours that fit this bill, I never know which one I’m waving at.DP calls it the Corbyn Effect.

Beards are just ghastly in my opinion.

Many years ago, when our children were very young, DH had one of those Zappa moustaches. One day he came down in the morning with two fingers held beneath his nose.He removed them and he had shaved off his moustache. My son screamed and my daughter burst into tears. He wasn’t their Daddy. He grew it back and it turned into a beard, which he has had ever since .

My preference is clean shaven.

I quite like beards but I do think it they tend to make quite different-looking people look similar.

Beards are great, but not long ones. They feel lovely and furry, while shaved chins grow slight stubble during the day which is scratchy.

Why oh why do men shave their heads when they still have (some) hair? I hate it! All shiny skin and nothing to play with!

Stubble okay, beards as long as well maintained and trimmed. A moustache, no thank you.

I love the plaits and beads, too.

My DS2 has a long beard and wears it plaited with beads in it. DS1 shaves but often misses a day or two and looks scruffy when he does.
On the other hand DSIL shaves every day favouring shaving soap and brush and a safety razor like the one my dad used for years . He prefers this to shaving foam and disposable razors and gets a closer shave .

My DH had designer stubble for a while but he looks so much younger clean shaven.

I quite like beards but have great trouble these days when watching dramas on TV. All the men seem to have beards and I cannot tell one from another, very confusing when trying to follow the usual complicated plots!

Do people who have breads wash them after every meal?
Have beards being tested as to the unseen bugs, as they cleaner on a tv show used to do with sinks?
Just asking, not for me or even for a friend.

I prefer clean shaven for a man if I’m honest ( and women too)

DH accidentally shaved his stubble off. He looked like his mother. I wanted to ask him to wear a mask till it grew back.
