Having to do the shopping most days after school once my mother went back to work. From the time I was ten, there would be a shopping list and money on the table for me most days when I got home.

Going to the doctors. You didn’t make an appointment you waited your turn in the queue.

Better than waiting six weeks for an appointment as we have to do now.

If you do a little research you will see that this seemingly harmless spate of asking questions is a phenomenon affecting various social media, and that it is not necessarily benign in nature.

Analysts have advised caution when responding to such posts. Because some are mining your information. But, research it yourself.

I think it's a legitimate question, since there are so many of them. If it's a harmless exercise, the OP will not mind answering.

My DF worked in a grocers shop before WW2 and if a customer sent or rang an order in, he would have to pick it, pack it and load it onto his bike and cycle round to their house to deliver it on the same day.
So I’m sorry Ziplock but same day delivery was happening a long time ago.
