Eventually heavy rain for about 5 minutes - hardly wetted the ground. Now back to humid and very warm.

None in Northamptonshire.

The rain barrel on the south side of the house was full!!! On the north side they were half full
All starting from empty yesterday evening. Yet the soil and terrace looked cork dry this morning and i never heard it rain.

We had a tiny splash of rain around 1 pm, lasting all of 3 minutes. It had absolutely no impact whatsoever.

Dry roads on our way to East Lothian today but we had to drive back via huge floods and puddles. Obviously a very localised very heavy shower.

nothing here in Swindon

We're still waiting here in west London, though it hasn't been as unpleasantly humid over the past few days.
We spent last week near the coast in Dorset and, although the temperatures were high, it didn't have that unpleasantly high humidity that we've had at home recently.

We had showers on Friday and Saturday morning. A few rainy puddles on the lanes as I walked my dog.

We are in the North West.

JenniRen Mon 27-Jul-26 15:08:54

No rain at all here so far, the West Country.

My favourite perennial geranium was brown and shrivelled so I've given it the Chelsea Chop and a good drink and hope it survives.

Two spits & a drip on one window & a few more on another. Not enough to even show on the ground here in East Anglia! If someone has too much throw it our way pretty please????

Fallingstar Mon 27-Jul-26 15:21:19

Some rain did fall yesterday in SE London, a heavy burst for about 5 mins or so. Then nothing. Really hot and humid after that. Today is a bit of cloud and a wind but no rain for the next week and the temps are rising.
Happy people in the North West, Scotland and NI will be getting sufficient rainfall.
Here the earth is like dust with big fissures in it and the trees look like it is autumn with brown leaves everywhere.

If only, north Bristol

Tworedroses Mon 27-Jul-26 15:27:37

A couple of days of rain here in Stockport but it’s dry now with no more rain forcast. My poor garden. 😩

Alie2Oxon Mon 27-Jul-26 18:24:12

Wot rain?

I've almost forgotten what it's like.

Oreo Mon 27-Jul-26 18:40:09

Me too Alie2🥵

Witzend Mon 27-Jul-26 18:44:28

Nothing here, outer SW London. ☹️
I will have to start praying.

Peaseblossom Mon 27-Jul-26 18:51:25

Nothing in Berkshire

Jane43 Mon 27-Jul-26 18:59:34

Just a few sprinkles here in Shropshire yesterday morning and again yesterday evening, nowhere near enough to do the garden any good.

Nanny100 Mon 27-Jul-26 19:32:53

We had what is sometimes called “Biblical Rain” here in Aberlady, East Lothian.
Honestly it was like a monsoon. I had to go out in the car to see to my daughters cats and got completely drenched just getting into the car.
My garden loved it though!

Aveline Mon 27-Jul-26 21:02:18

We went through Aberlady yesterday!

ViceVersa Mon 27-Jul-26 21:13:06

We love Aberlady - we quite often stay at the caravan park there. We were just down the road at the fish and chip van with our grandson the other day!

Not too far from you, her in N.E. Hampshire, but not a drop. Now covered by the hosepipe ban as well. We usually escape it.

I can't remember when we got measurable rain here, sometime in May perhaps?

Milest0ne Mon 27-Jul-26 22:05:41

Naturally it has started raining. We have family here on holiday. grin. NW

Absolute stair rods here in mid Northumberland, yesterday and Saturday. Very welcome but I need to cut my grass and it's sopping wet!

JamesandJon33 Tue 28-Jul-26 12:23:49

S W Wales. We have had two showers this morning. Just enough to liven up the bushes and wet the grass.
