I spent the morning in the spare room working on my new patchwork. Milo and Ripley joined me and I left them to carrying on sleeping after I finished.

My Red Persian was very real too. He required brushing several times a day to avoid his fur knotting and he needed help with his personal hygiene, to put it politely. He had a lovely sweet nature and loved cuddles. I still miss him.

I have just noticed that it is International Cat Day on Saturday 8 August. Dog day is on 26 August.

Here is Toby with his paw over his eyes. He ofter sleeps this way.

I had a cat who used to 'chat' all the time. Often he sounded as though he was swearing under his breath. If I shushed him he just used to up the volume. The only way I could get him to be quiet was to say "Speak" in a loud authoritative way.
