When I was at home and asked my Mum 'What's for supper/tea?' always got the reply
'Bread and Pullett, the one that pulls the hardest gets the most'/
No idea where this came from. Mum was very much an Eastender.
Recently, I have started watching ' classic Neighbours' on tv, I first watched this back in 1985, but missed the first few episodes. When I came to the one where I remembered, I told my AC that this was 'where I came in'. They did not know what I was talking about - this was a common phrase back in the day when we went into cinemas, often halfway through the showing of the main feature. and then left when we reached the point where we had 'come in'.
