Yesterday my daughter and daughter-in-law were busy grumbling about how slow their first house purchase is taking and wishing it would speed up as they signed their contract 5 weeks ago.

Today my sweet DiL, who’s carry DD baby went into spontaneous labour and after waters broke and baby was upside down with umbilical cord separating, she had an emergency C section and then at 13:00 baby Henry was born at 24.9 weeks, weighing 1lb 6oz.

We are all hoping for a good outcome in the end, please pray to whatever God or spiritual being or keep your fingers crossed that baby Henry comes through this.

DD and DiL in shock and baby about to be transferred to a Neonatal Unit in a hospital nearly 40 miles away. This is their first baby and first try at IVF. He’s so tiny (I couldn’t see him but DD sent photos) 😢

Little update

Saw my beautiful Grandson again today, this time on his back as radiographers doing another brain scan.

Sadly he has two brain bleeds, and blood still in his lungs, BUT he is responding positively to all medical interventions and medicine and today was a first, he received 0.1 mg of his mum’s precious milk directly into his mouth!

The two mummies are coping well and making us and Henry very proud.

Night night all and thank so much for your prayers, kind words and positive thoughts 💙

Fingers are tightly crossed here, Cossy for Henry’s condition to keep on improving. Even with those issues, he’s holding his own for such a wee dot. 🩵🩵🩵

Our firstborn was delivered 40 years ago at 28 weeks weighing less than a bag of sugar because I had severe pre-eclampsia. He had to have a blood transfusion and he contracted a severe infection but he was a fighter and, after four months in SCBU, he finally came home. So please, don’t ever give up hope. Our tiny miracle is now a strapping 6ft 1” and a high ranking officer in the merchant navy. My prayers are with you all at this most difficult of times. Xx

I’m overwhelmed by your kindness and positive stories and inspiring messages

💙

Update from my DD today; Henry is now going to have teeny tiny amounts of Mum’s milk four hourly, his lung bleed has greatly subsided, and he’s no longer on antibiotics as no sign of infection.

Both Mum’s allowed limited physical contact daily, with hands inside his incubator cradling his head and tummy, very very gently.

Henry is our adorable fighter, he’s our own “our ‘Enery” 💙

AGAA4 Tue 11-Aug-26 14:46:56

Glad Henry is able to have his mum's milk. Best thing for him. The touch from his mums will help enormously too. He will know they are there which will give him strength.

Good news, Cossy. Onwards and upwards. 🤞🤞

This is great news. Mum’s milk will help him to grow strong - the best thing in the world.

Well done Henry and mums ❤️💕

Cossy thank you so much for the updates, when you have so much on your mind.

So glad that little Henry is making some improvements and most importantly taking breast milk,
You are all doing wonderfully but also try to rest and get your strength back, especially the mum feeding Henry, he needs you all strong and in his corner.
Love to you all ❤️❤️
