Good morning Michael and all GN's from a very bright sunny, but so far slightly breezy North Yorkshire morning, I am so late today that I have been reading all the posts first.
Yesterday was a basic recovery day, and I mostly sat about, nursing my bruises, and with no energy or interest in doing much, but at least I wasnt feeling frustrated about what wasnt getting done. Went to bed but a really rubbish night, with the combination of coughing and aches and pains, meant that I just could not get off to sleep. Tried everything from counting sheep, to putting the light on and reading for a bit, but that meant that when I finally got off to sleep didnt wake until nearly 9am, which put paid to my idea of going out for a bit of shopping early.
So today I am staying in , with curtains closed etc., but am going to try and do a bit more physically, get myself moving about. It seems odd, but I was thinking I am not getting enough sun, and actually went and sat outside for a little while after 5pm yesterday. With the very hot weather we have been having, I am of course keeping in the shade, and probably not even getting the normal amount of sun, and not long ago had a test and was in need of vitamin D, if you could believe that.
Hope you have a good day Roseandlilac and continue to improve. Bellasnana I would have steam coming out of my ears having such a wasted journey in the heat! Ashcombe, so glad your first night went well. I read about so much about all your creativity and efforts , and admire all your efforts - but it does make me realize how much less I am doing these days! Dragonfly hope that your doctor can give you good news or at least good remedy for your back.
Time to shake a leg , or creak off to make a coffee and give the kitchen a going over at least. Hopefully while sorting it out I shall find some inspiration for something to cook. So far have only seen some cooking apples that need using, so get them done and put in the fridge and then good cold stewed apple will be a nice change. Wishing you all a successful day in your endeavours and fingers crossed for a shower or two!
