On the news today Trump and Infantino were talking.
I noticed that Trump had a new hat with a new slogan
"Trump was right about everything."

The man is unbelievable

Gango, my opinion of Mr Trump's behaviour towards a man with disabilities remains firm. I do not need to " get a grip and calm down". I have friends with children with disabilities and have had a professional interest in education for people with disabilities.
If Mr Trump thinks that his behaviour was acceptable, then shame on him.
If you think that Mr Trump's behaviours are acceptable, then shame on you.

Well said and I wholeheartedly agree with you!!!

People need to stop making generalisations personal. I’m sure everyone could bring a specific instance of their own on a topic that makes the general comment seem wrong or outrageous but that does not negate the generalisation
There are always exceptions

Gango Thu 13-Aug-26 15:32:05

There is nothing aggressive about my posts and disagreeing with someones view is not baiting
I am providing rational comments, so if someone describes another as flabby and orange why on earth should I not think they are nutters
Seems like you want your views posted but nothing that disagrees

Re-reading your OP, Justwidowed, from other news, it looks as if Infantino is losing support.

Pittcity Thu 13-Aug-26 16:32:07

Trump is championing the "Sunshine Protection Bill" which will make Daylight Savings time permanent.
He states that he is giving everyone in the USA an extra hour of daylight.
How can anyone be that stupid?

Chocolatelovinggran Thu 13-Aug-26 16:44:59

Gango, as I explained, I do take Mr Trump's behaviours towards a man with disabilities personally, after many years in Special Education, and involvement with someone I know with severe and complex needs .
I repeat, if Mr Trump considered the public mocking of someone with a disability acceptable, shame on him.
Those who would defend this, shame on them.
What are your thoughts on this matter?

Agree with this 100% Chocolateloving gran. I too have an interest in education for people with disabilities and I too would like to hear Gango’s thought on the matter.

Well that's debatable.

I’m sure we all need help, some more than others
Just a few points
I don’t believe I’ve posted anything praising or supporting trump. Merely pointed out that a lot of the trump bashing has no real basis beyond emotional opinion
One person stated that trump created ICE when it was actually formed in 2003. Under Obama over 3m deported and over 60 killed under trump over 1m deported -not sure about the number killed but would imagine it’s less
I don’t know how this Post which was about Infantino suddenly became hijacked into an emotional tirade against trump.
With regards to disabilities - and again why did this even become a part of an infantino post?? - I treat all people the same, with respect and consideration until they show that they don’t deserve it

Aveline Sun 16-Aug-26 08:08:01

Trump has never deserved respect.

Gango Sun 16-Aug-26 08:14:09

🙄

Aveline Sun 16-Aug-26 08:22:55

Respect has to be earned. He hasn't.

AGAA4 Sun 16-Aug-26 08:22:59

The Trump bashing as Gango calls it does have a very sound basis.

Mainly the illegal war with Iran that has affected most of the world in some way and achieved nothing apart from creating more terrorists.
The Epstein files? His disgusting treatment of President Zelensky just a few examples of why people justifiably criticise Trump.

Shel1951 Sun 16-Aug-26 08:23:56

Personally I think he a very clever man, and a wind up, he has everything he wants,he managed to be president of America, and he throws people off the scent of what he doesn't want seen by causing distractions, he's playing the part of an ignorant person and hiding his true intentions

Maremia Sun 16-Aug-26 08:32:26

Hiding his true intentions?
Making money for himself is his intention, and if GNs are aware of this, it's not really well hidden.

Gango Sun 16-Aug-26 08:33:19

Spot on

I think the whole world knows what Trump's true intentions are so he's not so clever.
A clever man wouldn't have got himself into the situation he is in now. He is costing the US millions with this war and has depleted their weapon stock.

Maremia Sun 16-Aug-26 08:51:07

A clever man would have had the confidence to chose more effective Officials.

Maremia Sun 16-Aug-26 08:52:45

Pete Hegseth has wasted billions of dollars of munitions, and the Strait is now closed.

Fallingstar Sun 16-Aug-26 09:59:28

Well, for a clever man Trump shoots his mouth off to all and sundry, specifically allies - whom despite his bellyaching he still needs hence his pleas for them to help out with his illegal war - and despite promising his disciples there would be no more money wasted on foreign wars, here we are with a massively expensive illegal war against Iran.
He isn’t clever, not even close.

Fallingstar Sun 16-Aug-26 10:02:32

Netanyahu is clever, and he has played Trump like a fiddle.

Shel1951 Sun 16-Aug-26 10:08:46

Yes but he is still there, and still making money

Shel1951 Sun 16-Aug-26 10:12:24

I don't admire him in the least, but countless lives lost,he discarded people like they mean nothing after boosting them up the previous week, and yet there he is still making gigantic decisions still president of the USA, to me he's no fool
