Thanks GrannyGravy13 for opening this new kitchen, cushions plumped and ready to go.
Well done GrannyGravy! I thought about it but I have forgotten how! Love the decor!
I have a slow cooker pot of ratatouille bubbling away, if anyone wants some. I hope Llfl brings dessert
Thanks for opening the new kitchen grannygravy
It’s warm today so I have left some Cornettos and Mini Magnums in the freezer.
Thanks, GrannyGravy. Pleased to find a new kitchen up and running.
I have some shortbread biscuits (made with 50% Orkney beremeal for extra flavour) to contribute.
Thank you Redcar the sun is trying to come out here so maybe a Magnum this afternoon.
Thankyou also to Grannyg for opening the new kitchen.
I have been lurking in the quiet corner recently but enjoying reading, however if we all stayed there it would be dull reading so I will really make an effort to visit more often.
Life has been challenging lately but I am coping with it and still here.
My GD and her partner are getting settled in their new home, among the very welcome house warming presents they have received are 16 Champagne flutes.
A very big celebration is needed to use them all.
I am cooking spag bol later. I always use red wine and I can't let it go to waste so a couple of glasses will go nicely with it.
Thanks for opening another kitchen. soop will be pleased we are continuing as usual.
My clothes are almost dry, showers are forecast, we have had very little rain in London. I can hear a cat whimper during the night but thunder and lightning escapes me. I have no idea if we have had any.
Look after yourselves.
is there a chair for me please? i am afraid i am vegan but i will bring some fresh peaches, bananas, apples and home made yoghurt pineapple and coconut flavor
Labazs, you can have some ratatouille if you like in exchange for some of your yoghurt. It sounds delicious
Hi all, thanks GG.
I had my ultrasound guided hip injection this morning, told to do nothing for 24 hours, MrJ back on nurse duty, including a trip to the baker, donuts and Chelsea buns on the side.
Tesco delivered earlier and we have quiche for dinner.
Enjoy your evening.
I too generally stick to the quiet corner but love keeping up with everyone's doings.
Some bottles of bubbly on the side to launch the new kitchen.
laba\z I rarely eat meat these days so what possessed me to buy this is beyond me. I would happily eat vegan provided somebody else did the cooking as I doubt if I would have the correct nutrients. I will wash up.
Two drops of rain mid-afternoon. It had stopped by the time I had removed 4 items of clothes.
Were you taking your clothes off to dance in it Charleygirl 🤣
Hello kitchen people. A new kitchen. I could probably spare an ice cream or two! How about a batch of lemon and a batch of chocolate peppermint?
I saw the podiatrist today and she did a brilliant job on my two big toe nails. My left big toe nail was on the brink of becoming ingrowing, so I saw her in the nick of time.
Have a good evening.
Llfl lemon ice cream for me please!
A quiet day here at Batty Towers. I've been doing housework and washing. I had some ratatouille with pasta and it was lovely. Enjoy your evening kitchen folk
Hello everyone thank you GG for opening the new kitchen. Although I lurk in the quiet corner I read this every day. I have left homemade tablet and fudge for everyone to have with a cup of tea or coffee if they have any room left!!!
I’ve had a fairly quiet day, the decorator came to assess the rooms that need painting and will email me a quote. I dread to think how much it will be. This afternoon my next door neighbour asked if I would drive her to the garage to pick up her car from its MOT. Of course I said yes, but it was 3.30 and the traffic was horrendous, and that’s without any school traffic!
Warm but windy here again, and it’s raining at the moment.
I’m going to bed soon, so night night everyone, sleep well.
Thanks GG just found you all 😀 Any nibbles left?
Jax no, by the time I removed my clothes, the sun was shining again.
Thank you, GrannyGravy. I’ve brought a bunch of deliciously scented sweet peas from my garden.
I’m not managing to leave the quiet corner much, I’m sorry to say. Hover, recent exploits have been a visit to the Edinburgh Festival and spending some time in Hampshire with my son and family, where thankfully it wasn’t too hot. I’m home again now but have been floored by migraines and feeling very sorry for myself with no one to look after me. I’ve had to cancel another visit to the Festival tomorrow as I just can’t face the bus journey or the crowds.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day, though. TOYA. X
Sorry you are having problems pseudonym. I hope you can find a solution to the migraines.
My brother’s funeral went well yesterday and the crematorium was packed. I almost got to the end of my reading but thought I had it cracked, which was a mistake. So cross with myself. The wake went on for a very long time then we went to my nephew’s nearby and sat around a bonfire and saw a beautiful full moon.
Off home today after a garden centre breakfast and DG’s 13th birthday tomorrow. It’s at an all you can eat buffet, so I know he will get his money’s worth 🤣🤣
The new double caramel magnums are very good!
We have been home 45 minutes, first load of washing going round in the machine, sitting down with a glass of water.
Chinese takeaway ordered, wine in the fridge.
We had a brilliant time away with DS3 and family, it was lovely to spend time with the teens, despite them trying to drown me 🏊♀️ 😹
I need to eat healthy for a while, my waistline has expanded.
Will try to catch up with your news before my next visit.
Pleased you had a good time with family grannygravy hopefully tomorrow will be drier so you can put the washing out!
Wet day here, I managed 20 minutes gardening this morning before it started to rain and my back started to protest! Did some ironing, and I’ve been reading my book for the rest of the day.
DD1 and family were out shopping most of the day and I think DD2 and family are camping somewhere fairly local. Not too bad on a well appointed site with dryers and such like, but I think the site she’s on is a field with a lake and a cafe!!
nannytopsy I’m pleased your brother’s funeral went well and well done for getting through (most of) the reading. Nice to be able to wind down at your nephew’s afterwards. Enjoy your DG’s birthday party!
SueDonim what a shame you’ve had to abandon your plans to go to the Edinburgh Festival. I hope you can get some relief from your migraines. They are very debilitating aren’t they, and it’s miserable feeling ill when you are on your own. I hope today has been a little better and that tomorrow will be better still.
Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone.
It’s so tough for you SueD but you’re doing really well, sending a gentle hug
It’s been a good day here, myself and a few of the line dancing ladies were at a community gala day, all good fun with lots to see and do. Yummy home baking too (not by me 😂) Home late afternoon and not done much since
Pleased you’ve had a good holiday with the family GG and survived!
I’ll definitely have to try one of those nannytopsy if I can find one …
Hoping you can get out in the garden tomorrow redcar and your back behaves
Thinking of our friends in the quiet corner, take care all 💕
