Jaxjacky tantrums! He does feel every emotion deeply. He laughs, cries and rages with equal force. Today he has been very cross and upset a lot. However he's quietly playing before bed. Dgs1 is exhausted. He played 2 games of football earlier. He will go to bed later

Hi all, what are āstrong emotions* Grandmabatty? Tantrums maybe.
A quiet day until we went to the pub, ended up chatting for ages.
Ten aster plants put in today and Iāve just switched off the pork to be pulled apart for tomorrow.
Welcome back FGT
It sounds like the problem isnt at your end Utbb, but with the company!
I am stressed beyond belief.
I have been trying to pay for the work in my garden through bank transfer.
Never had problems like this before.
I couldnāt sort it for some strange reason so sent the money to my S s.o he could pay.
He also had problems so sent the money back.
When I tried again I had exceeded my daily limit, I hadnāt but although my S had returned my money the computer only saw two large sums going out which exceeded my limit.
I increased the limit then I got so many questions about scams.
I tried to ring them but they ā are experiencing difficulties ā.
I feel that the company think Iām dodging paying, stupid I know but oh dear the stress.
I need a stiff drink to calm down ,then Iāll try again.
We used to write a cheque and it was done and dusted.
Home š
Just to bore you further I was sat next to an enchanting girl (40 so still a girl in my eyes). We chatted for a good while (Iām aware not to engage for too long as being solo one needs to rein in the opportunities of conversation) itās important to be self aware.
Anyway she had been in Ibiza having met friends out there for clubbing and was on en route to Harrogate for a photo shoot as she models wedding dresses for a living the past 12 years! Sheās a regular on an agency. Made me laugh when she said Iām perhaps getting g towards my sell by date! Another lovely companion and she showed me how to use my Ryanair app and click on Bluetooth to order some mascara direct from the cabin crew to my 4C seat. First time Iāve ever done that. Every day is a school day!
Safe travels home fgt
Have a lovely time with your two boys grandmabatty!
Good evening kitchen folk. I'm hosting the boys for a sleepover. Dgs2 has had bouts of 'big emotions', usually when he wants something his brother has. They are currently eating dinner; dgs1 has chicken noodles and Dgs2 has soup then chicken and chips. Later they will have chocolate sundaes then go for a bath. Then popcorn for supper while watching a film. Grandma will go to bed when they do. š Enjoy your evening kitchen folk
Were!!!
Yes FGT it is wet here in the Manchester area but actually quite warm, the sort of weather were it is warmer outside than in.
My garden makeover is going well but the lawn is a sorry sight, I suppose it will recover by next spring.
Yuma????

I am at the boarding gate in Ibiza airport. The bus didnāt turn up at es caƱa at 11am aargh! I sat and waited 30 minutes next to a girl with a small suitcase. She looked at her phone a few times then turned to ask me did I know where the taxi rank is?
I suggested we share a taxi? She said what a lovely idea! We chatted non stop in the back of the taxi she was delightful. Aged 27y, Canadian and holidaying in Europe for 2 weeks on her own. So brave I said but we both agreed there are more good souls and kindness in Yuma itās than not.
I admired her nail art. I asked her could I take a photo as I was so impressed by them? See pic. š
Anyway this lovely girl was in her way to Madrid to catch a connecting flight to Marrakesh where she was staying 4 nights after clubbing for 2 in Ibiza. Then on to Heathrow where she was staying with family for a few days before flying back to Toronto.
So Annabelle enjoy your European holiday. I of course paid for the taxi ā¬50 she was utterly charming in her acceptance of the lift and I said enjoy a meal in Marrakesh this evening on me and think of me in rainy Manchester this weekend!
Lovely photos and happy memories fgt
fgt lovely photos and lovely memories. Thank you for sharing them.
A kindly face and special FGT š
Lovely photos fgt thanks for sharing, well done today š
Well done fgt and thank you for sharing the lovely photos of your dear man and your mum!
Lovely photos and memories Fgt. Your dear man looks so kind and friendly
Such lovely photographs FGT your H looks such a kind man and actually so well at that time.
Lovely memories for you.
It is dragonfly
I know to come here today would press the emotional bruise but Iām glad
I came.
A bit of a tribute to honour those I loved if that doesnāt sound too pretentious.
That is very poignant FGT.
Iām in Santa Eulalia came in the ferry at 11am and Iāve had a wander along the streets with my my memories
Iām sat having a glass of beer and scrolling through photos and came across this one of my lad taken 13 September 2024 the last time we were here together.
He had just finished all the chemotherapy that had kept him well and did so for six months after this photo.
Itās how I like to remember him š
And the second pic is me with my mum on said ferry 20 years ago coming back from Santa Eulalia. That was our first year when mum was my age now.
This place will always hold a special place in my heart and Iām so glad I felt able to achieve this trip today.
Redcar a 10 tog would be fine for me during summer. My old duvet was 15 tog and I was still cold even with a hwb. I am a cold morsel.
It was really pleasant here when the sun was out. I sprayed weedkiller but I doubt if that will do much.
Somebody stole my blue paper bin but I retrieved it today. It is in my sitting room and I await a permanent marker from Amazon coming tomorrow. I may put it in the rear garden for a couple of weeks but it will be heavy for me to cart to the front of the house. At least it saved me buying a new one. That would have been the second within a year.
Wonderful to read you are āmiles betterā Grandmabatty!
Very reassuring.
Hi everyone, just back from DD1ās where Iāve been dog minding all day, then looking after the DGDs when they got in from school. DD1 and her DH were in the office for meetings which overran. (As usual). Itās the first time Iāve had to drive home in the dark for about a year, when I looked after the DGDs earlier this year I wasnāt able to drive because of my spinal fractures.
It was fairly cool out but warm enough indoors for once! I was a helpful mum and damp dusted all the window ledges after a summer of open windows. I doubt anyone will notice though.
grandmabatty Iām pleased youāre feeling better now.
fgt enjoy your wine and chicken dinner this evening, after your long walk. Itās nice to saunter along, you see a lot that way and thereās no need to rush when youāre on holiday. Have a good day tomorrow!
charleygirl i hope youāre feeling better and that you are finding the coverless duvet comfortable to sleep under. I havenāt got a 13.5 tog duvet - my winter one is a 10 tog, supplemented with a fleece blanket if itās very cold out! Not having to wrestle with a duvet cover must make life easier, especially if itās a 5 ft duvet.
Iām ready for bed now, I didnāt sleep well last night, so am due a decent night tonight!
Night night everyone, sleep tight.
