Small Things Like These!

I was pondering this, whilst cleaning my teeth this morning, I can't imagine wanting to go back to an ordinary toothbrush after an electric one. What other things would I not want to turn the clock back to:

Instant coffee
Not having these ever so handy small appliances - A heated hairbrush and an electric toothbrush
Not having a banking app, it's ...........just so convenient and possibly a host of other shopping apps
So of course a Smart Phone is necessary, admittedly not always a positive, but pretty necessary in today's world
Not being on the internet
Not having a laptop
Not having a power shower (maybe not so small)

Over to you, what have you got so used to in say the past 20 years or so? I won't say that we can't do without, because we could, but what enhances your day to day life, sometimes in a small way.

Sat Nav on phone and car.
Thermomix
Online shopping
Robot hoover
Wheeled suitcases.
Most definitely online banking

I have had a mobile phone for about 34 years but it was for work, calls were so expensive I would only have used it for 999!

For me it would be all of yours (minus heated brush & instant coffee)

I will add my coffee machine, my range cooker & my car, which gives me independence and freedom. (without having to check with DH if he needs the car, going down to one car is non negotiable in this house)

Home delivery of groceries. I find I can't carry much now and the shops are a long way away.

WhatsApp keeps me in touch with friends and family regularly.

Streaming services on the TV.

Edible ready meals.

Washing machine (I didn't have one when my children were young).
Internet shopping.
Internet banking.
Smart phone.
Air fryer
Cordless hedge cutters and strimmer.
My fortnightly gardener to cut my grass on a very steep slope.
Ability to watch TV programmes at a time of my choosing.
Skechers shoes!
My grabber.

internet great for passing the time watching old vintage programme etc
mobile phone with my banking app quick and easy
automatic washer and drier brings back the years of washing nappies by hand!
microwave and slowly my air fryer
freezer
instant sachet coffee just add hot water!
electric kettle

Oh yes I agree with most things here!

I’d simply add remote controls, not just for the TV but for lots of things.

I’d “delete” instant coffee! Every morning we grind beans and use a cafetière and a smidgeon of single cream, it’s our treat to get us through the day! Even better, it’s made by DH when he returns from his early morning walk with our dear old cocker.
