Good morning from yet another dry day in Bristol. Nights are getting longer and colder so it’s still dark and cool.
I had lots to do yesterday before t’ai chi, the usual house work, etc.,but it takes time. Particularly dislike sweeping the floor as it makes my back hurt - all brooms, etc., are made for dwarves!
Iris particularly like one oven glove I made for her annual “lucky dip” Advent calendar, so I’m making her a second one. The poor girl is being measured for her full body brace for scoliosis and a twisted spine. This genetic condition is one that keeps on giving!
Dinner at DD’s was very pleasant as she had decided to stop working at 5 rather than 6; it made her more relaxed and chattier.
Iris was also very chatty with me; she is normally polite but very distant and barely monosyllabic. It was really good as she an be very perceptive and interesting.
Today, I’m off to coffee at a church friend’s house, about a mile away - longish walk. On the way back, I’ll get some plants to replace the ones I have removed from my pots. Probably heathers and cyclamen.
I’ve been sad to learn of all the worries and sadness, but delighted that karma’s tooth has finally gone.
