Have you ever been in a film or on television or radio?

In the mid 1980s I was in an episode of Playschool, with my then class. The presenter was Baroness Floella Benjamin, but due to clever editing we didn’t ever come into contact with her!

Me and daughter got amazing tickets for Wimbledon centre court through the ballot some years ago. We were two rows back near one end, so we were constantly on the telly. We both had sun glasses and hats on, so it looked like we were in disguise 🥸

I was in the audience at The Leña Martell show which was filmed at BBC scotland. The family had really good seats and the camera landed on us quite a lot. I looked like a young Scottish version of Nana Moskouri!

Also, with a friend at Shepherd's Bush Studio on stage with Cat Stevens singing...he was great. We were teenagers and I remember we were given 50p each.

Myself and a colleague were in Belfast for work. We were wandering around a shopping mall to kill time when we were stopped by a chap with a microphone and another with sound equipment. They were filming for a quiz show which we’d never heard of but agreed to go ahead. We had to say a few words about ourselves before answering some very random questions.
I think the idea was that contestants would guess from a few answers which one we had chosen, purely based on their impressions of us.
It was aired sometime later all over Ireland and was watched by some of my very bemused family including my mother. None of them could figure out how I came to be on the show given that I lived in Scotland.

I was filmed at a celebrity dinner once, I was on a table with the late Richard Whitely, he was hilarious.

My husband was featured on Breakfast TV as he was the first adopted person in the UK to be reunited with his Mother under a new law in 2005.

My daughter is always on the radio, she is very political!!!

We were once driving through France and put UK radio on for the first time in over a week, to our amazement the presenter said they had a call from H@@@@@ in Cheshire, this was immediately as we had switched on.
We looked at each other in amazement thinking it can’t be and yes it was!

Our youngest son was featured in an article in the Observer, he never bothered to tell us, we got numerous texts from friends saying they had seen it!
When we called him he just said oh I forgot, I didn’t know when it would be in!

My late OH as a junior doctor was on a BBC programme about rheumatology. He was meant to be aspirating a knee joint, but the cameraman nearly passed out so he was shown doing something really boring like examining an ankle!

I've been on the radio a few times talking about my Beatles Escapades. Some years ago, the BBC did The People's Desert Island Discs. I was on that too. Back in the '60s I won a ticket to sit on stage behind The Beatles at Thank Your Lucky Stars. They wrote to ask me if I would be a Go-Go dancer on the show. I was far too under confident to accept. What a missed opportunity!
