Good Morning Monday 2nd November 2026
(12 Posts)Good morning Mick from a dry and very dark N Surrey. I woke at 4 hoping it was 6. Anyway am wideawake with a cup of tea. Will do Wordle then read. I have the radio on in another bedroom for some background noise.
Today is a trip to a nearby town to drop a box off at a charity shop and to collect some documents from the solicitor. And a cup of coffee in M&S or one of the many other coffee shops.
A very favourite one it must have been swiss closed down some years back. It had a wall of cuckoo clocks which was fun on the hour. It made my friend and I laugh.
Yesterday was quite cold all day and overcast. After several warm sunny days it was quite a shock and felt suddenly wintry.
But it was dry as today and the next few days will be. We do need rain though for the reservoirs. However I hear a little voice saying be careful what you wish for.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and frosty. Mick I hope you hear good news. HelterSkelter we've had plenty rain here.
Yesterday was a quiet day but I managed to achieve quite a hit. I stripped my bed, washed the bedding and put a new duvet cover on. It matches my decor well. I caught up with all the other washes too. Then I made lentil soup and egg muffins for breakfasts. I took down most of the Halloween/autumn decorations too, hoovered and cleaned out the inside of the car. I also did some necessary admin which I had been putting off. I found time to watch a cheesy Christmas film too!
Today is early childcare day. I'm glad I put the cover on the car windscreen yesterday as that'll be one less job to do. Once I drop off the boys at school, I will come home and potter. This afternoon I will do an hour in the school library before collecting the boys and bringing them to my house for a couple of hours of drawing and playing football, amongst other pursuits. Dinner will be salmon and roast vegetables. Have a good day all.
Good morning all from a dark Black country dark but dry out.
Woke early and can't get back to sleep, think its because expecting the gas engineer between 8 and 1pm heating is playing up. Will go down make a ☕️ get dressed then wake DH he needs an hour before food for some of his many tablets.
No plans made will decide after the engineer has been although local shop needed.
Hope Marydoll is now on cardiology ward.
Have the best day you can folks will catch up with your happenings later.
Good morning from a dry Bristol. Fog is forecast at dawn.
I’ve only just woken up!
Yesterday, I went to church. I sat down for the rest of the day, except to eat (sting down), meals which I had frozen
More of the same today, except for an expected large Tesco shop with my neighbour.
Have a good day all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Good morning from a dark and mild Llandudno. There is something hypnotic about watching the sea. Two hours spent on the parade yesterday passed in the blink of an eye.
Lunch today will be at a local cafe then I will probably do another walk along the promenade. My friend wants to visit a secondhand book shop so no doubt I will be tempted to buy more than I can carry.
Happy Monday all.
Good morning everyone from somewhere dark, I think its southern Spain, and should pass through the Straits of Gibraltar sometime today.
We had a lovely sunny and hot day in Alicante yesterday, with an outing to the town of Elche for me. It was very busy, as a fiesta was about to start.
I had to go to reception yesterday to chase up a jumper which I haduslaid somewhere on board
Good morning from s somerset, definitely chillier
It was productive for me yesterday, I did make a new and smaller, filing system for my fabric stash so will now offload 8 x A5 cardboard files
Also sewing, I almost finished the top for my PJs and have decided the fit is too large so I was busy first thing and took that top apart. I am going to print the top 2 sizes smaller and will re-cut this morning
Craft group is later today, I will be taking knitting
I am seriously hoping that MD is settled in the cardiology ward
Sorry pressed post by mistake!
I had mislaid a jumper somewhere about the ship and luckily someone had handed it in.
And then I dropped an ear-ring in the bathroom and couldn't find it, but my lovely cabin steward found it for me.
A sea day today, so a leisurely morning, then after lunch I have booked a tour of the bridge which should be interesting..
Late afternoon a last tap-dancing class. Probably the theatre after dinner for an evening of songs from the musicals.
Wishing all a pleasant Monday. Photos are of our excursion to Elche.
Good morning, dampish here in south Glos although I think it’s supposed to be sunny later.
Yesterday was warm in the sun for my afternoon dog walks but a chilly breeze.
The leaves are falling steadily now, wonder colours, and the hedges are full of hawthorn and briony berries, brilliant scarlets as well as rose hips so there will be plenty for the birds. The rookery along the road is very active, obviously they won’t be nest making for laying eggs at this time of year, they’re very raucous birds.
Strangely the bird feeders aren’t being eaten at the moment, the sparrows seem to have moved elsewhere which is sad, I hope they’ll be back.
The beautiful red kite is wonderful to watch, gliding effortlessly, so graceful.
I’m very lucky living here🙏
Best wishes to all 🌹
Good morning from a dark and peaceful Torbay.
Lovely photos again, BlueSapphire! You have been blessed with good weather and seem to have made the most of all that’s on offer on your cruise.
Back to Move It Or Lose It for me today after a month's absence. I shall be pleased to see the other ladies and the teachers but not sure that my joints will be pleased to be exercising!
You were busy yesterday, Grandmabatty!
A good day to you all! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
Good morning from Sheffield
I had a pottering about day yesterday catching up with a few jobs.
I would’ve liked to have gone in the garden but it was so cold and damp. It wouldn’t have been much of a pleasure. We had a beautiful lunch at our daughters and looked after the boys while they went to the cinema.
We had a game of scrabble with the 10-year-old Grandson. He beat us both hands down and we weren’t letting him win.
Today I’m going to my prayer group which I haven’t been to for a few weeks. I shall give thanks for the blessings I have.
My second shingles jab is later. Hopefully I won’t have any effect. I was okay with the first one.
I have bought a new 13.5 tog quilt so was extremely snuggly last night if not a tad too hot! it will get colder in the next few months – I’ll be glad of it then.
Take care everyone
