Strictly after Claudia ...........

I read that he was a suggestion, along with quite a few others.

He is a very funny man but would his larger than life personality overshadow the show?

Have heard rumours that Amanda Holden could be chosen, which would make sense if her old buddy Alan Carr is being considered.

Whoever presents Strictly I just wish it would calm down a little.

That may not improve with Alan and Amanda I’m afraid, one screeches and the other laughs like a drain. Having said that I don’t really mind because I don’t even watch it 🤣

I think this may very well be my last season of Strictly, I have loved it, and looked forward to it for years, but I’m just not feeling the magic, and the last couple of years, I somehow don’t trust it to be that wonderful, wholesome entertainment I always believed it to be .
I might get tempted back I suppose, but absolutely 100% not, if Amanda Holden is joining the team.

Sara1954 and merlotgran I totally agree with both your sentiments - I spend half my time turning down volume control. I’ve always loved it but this year I’m feeling quite bored with all the shouty talking!

I’m afraid I really think it’s time to call it a day for Strictly. It’s been very successful but it’s had its day.

I’ve never been fond of Alan Carr but I must say I’ve really warmed to him in Traitors. Not enough to see him on Strictly. Especially if Amanda Holden pairs up with him.

I’d like to see Oti Mabusi as a presenter with Zoe Ball or maybe Emma Willis.

I am with Sara1954.I feel this may well be the last season of Strictly I tune into.We normally go to the tour but just not bothered this year🤷‍♀️

Most of the names which have been suggested to take over from Tess and Claudia would be enough to stop me watching!

I would like to see both male & female presenters again , Hannah Waddingham for example- not sure about the male - hopefully not Rylan Clarke .
Also the results show , needs a shake up , I feel that when the celebrity singer is performing they don’t need the dancers , they just detract from the song being sung .

To be honest I am finding this series really boring. The only celebrity left that I know is Alex Kingston and it's hard to get interested in the "journeys" of so many total strangers. Claudia is fine, but I'm finding Tess increasingly irritating. New presenters might help, but who?

I like Alan Carr but I am not sure he is right for Strictly. Definitely not Amanda Holden, she makes everything about herself. Anton would be a good presenter. I love Rylan but know many don't. I also love Susan Calman, she is so warm, friendly and down to earth (and a former contestant)

I agree the programme is too over the top and noisy. I record it and just watch the dancing and scores. The bit with Claudia waiting for scores is so loud and pointless. I also have never heard of the supposed celebrities.

I think the whole thing needs a complete reset. It's become stale.

I too find the chats with Claudia a waste of time, but a friend pointed out that the crew need time to change the staging around for the next dance, which can be quite a challenge.

I suppose that is why we have all the inane chatter.
