This is first time post and not after any sympathy but I would like to know if of gransnetters have had this.
I’m due to have operation where they will take 2 of the 3 lobes in right lung called a bilobectomy.
I will be in hospital 7 to 10 days I’m 73 and fairly fit I’ve never smoked
I would like to know what it was like after the operation and what the outcome was I would be grateful of any advice regarding this
Thank you

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation offers a great deal of information and support - online, by phone and in person. I hope they can help you and I hope the surgery goes well.

One of my favourite podcasters has lung cancer and he’s doing really well. There are so many new treatments and he’s really positive.

There is also the macmillan helpline, which is very good for advice, from trained nurses..
Better to hear from people who have been through it, though, I always think.
I do hope someone here can help you - its where gransnet really excels. flowers
