It’s amazing how many vase shapes are so useful, I have tall thin ones, short squat ones, pottery, crystal and cheap glass. Lilies of the valley will go in a champagne flute!

I estimate around 10 different ones that I use. How about you?

I agree. I had about 15 but now only have about 6. But I do use them all at various times. Fresh flowers are so lovely.

Only a couple, and i don't like them much.
I don't know where on earth they came from.

I love your simple arrangement . Purple and green look great together.

Firstly your irises are gorgeous, beautiful colour and contrast so well with the vase. I have well over a dozen vases ranging from cheap Ikea ones to expensive cut crystal, with some beautiful porcelain and pottery ones as well. I'm a sucker for vases and have to frequently remind myself I do not need any more. Occasionally I go rash and donate some to the charity shop so I can justify buying new ones. Some I will never part with because they remind me of the time when I bought them, including holidays in Canada, Jersey, Devon and Cornwall or given to me by someone special.
I always have at least two vases of fresh flowers in the house and often three or four. I love flowers and they're always a very welcome gift.

I love having fresh flowers too but especially love flowers from the garden. I can usually find something from the garden even in winter if I’m happy with lots of green bits. I often put them is small white jugs and use herbs as well as garden flowers.

I’m a bit of a soft touch for a lovely vase and always have fresh flowers in the house. Especially at this time of year when the garden is full of blooms. I’m rather keen on cut crystal, which fortunately is out of fashion, so bargains to be had in the charity shops.
A few years I bought a very sweet crystal vase with the glass ‘frog’ holder still in tact for a pound in a charity shop, it’s one of my favourites.
Some flowers look good in pottery jugs, I like matching the style of arrangement to the vase.

I always have fresh flowers in the house and have loads of vases butctend to use just 2 most of the time. One is a green jug which was miles and one a crystal one given to my nan in the early days of marriage.

I tend to use the discards from the flowers in the main vase in little jugs and vases which I dot around the house.
