Good morning from Bristol; the sky is full of streaky light orange clouds. It won’t be too hot today. No rain. We’ve had a very dry year.
FGT, I hope that you are feeling better today. You seem so robust normally.
I ironed the teatowels and linen tablecloths from Wednesday and was interrupted by a resident bringing me a load of brown trout. He fished them from the river Test near Basingstoke. I lived there in my early marriage before we moved to Kent.
I finished my skirt and used the rest to make DD a tablecloth for her garden table. There was 6 yards of fabric per bundle.
Mr. Teflon emailed me to let me know that an order had finally been put in to remove the pyracanthas hedge at the back of me. Yippee ! It is in a terrible condition; dead shrubs, loads of ivy , many trees (sycamore and ash mostly). I once counted 27 different plants of various sizes in it, including an apple from a discarded core.
Today is quiet, but I’m minded to go to Broadmead to get some ribbon to make lavender bottles. Also, I would like to make some pomanders too, seeing I still have so many cloves!
