A husband.

A barn conversion, I am still looking, DH not so much 😹

Nothing. I've always sort of "gone with the flow" rather than having a set plan of where I wanted my life to go.
Maybe my lovely Dad as an old man.

Living in a cottage in Cornwall. But divorce put paid to that.

Daddima Sat 04-Jul-26 18:46:53

I imagined I would have a reasonable level of fitness, and certainly never imagined I’d be so restricted, health wise.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 04-Jul-26 18:49:08

My husband, sadly.

Charleygirl5 Sat 04-Jul-26 18:51:25

Same as Daddima. I certainly never expected to be close to be registered severely sight impaired.

MissAdventure Sat 04-Jul-26 18:52:31

A whole different life, really, now I come to think of it.

kittylester Sat 04-Jul-26 18:54:58

I didn't have any thoughts at all about what life would be like but to my mind it isn't about things but about contentment and peace of mind. I mostly have that. Obviously, with a big family, there are always worries of one sort or another but, thankfully, nothing major - at least at the moment.

Doodledog Sat 04-Jul-26 18:57:51

I assumed I would have grandchildren, which I don't yet. I fully understand that I have no right to them, but that wasn't the question, so I'll say it anyway.

JamesandJon33 Sat 04-Jul-26 18:59:21

I think I agree with kittylester. I can think of nothing . I am happy, have enough money, a husband, a nice house, children, grandchildren and friends. What more could I ask for?

Definitely DH - such a fit man, ailed nothing until cancer appeared. I thank what/whoever that he retired at 55 and had 10 good years before he fell ill. 💔

Ahh 🫂

MT62 Sat 04-Jul-26 19:05:56

I think I have everything I need to see me out.
I don’t take things for granted & I am thankful everyday for who & what I have, as you never know the minute that can be taken away in a heartbeat.

I don’t think I thought that far in advance. I’m perfectly content with everything I have. It doesn't mean that I’m not open to new adventures.

M0nica Sat 04-Jul-26 19:34:07

I have never even thought about it.

AGAA4 Sat 04-Jul-26 19:48:10

I did think I'd have my DH with me in old age but was not to be.

crazyH Sat 04-Jul-26 19:56:56

A happy marriage

tanith Sat 04-Jul-26 19:57:08

My husband sadly not to be.

Oldnproud Sat 04-Jul-26 19:57:41

A state pension.

JaneJudge Sat 04-Jul-26 20:04:36

No mortgage

Fallingstar Sat 04-Jul-26 20:10:27

I don’t think I ever thought about life in my mid seventies when I was younger, and if I did I probably thought I’d be globe trotting with my DH, enjoying the good life, not caring for my DH full time.
But it is what it is.
