Good morning Mick and followers, its high cloud and the beginnings of a pink sunrise here on the hillside in south Glos, another warm day ahead.
After a very restless night with little sleep I am glad I have a quiet day ahead.
I had a lovely time at my friend’s yesterday morning, we sat in her lovely garden under an old apple tree that’s festooned with mistletoe!
Housework first thing today, ham salad for dinner and treacle tart to follow and that’s it!
Hope today goes well for you too x

Good morning from Malta where it will be another sunny, hot, humid day wth a high of 37°.

Didn’t do much yesterday apart from a walk to the local shop, then spent a lot of time watching tennis.

This morning I will go to Lidl for a few things, then put some petrol in the car (I never like it to go below half!) after which I shall go to pick my Treasures up from summer school as DD3 is off on a boat all day with colleagues.

I will miss some good tennis today as it’s impossible to watch when the boys are here, but never mind, they come first.

Thinking of our poorly friends, those who are troubled, and our missing posters, especially Grandmabatty.💐

Now, tea and then half an hour on the cross trainer. I’m doing well but I’m achey!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️🎾🎾

Good morning from a hazy Bristol. It’s still pleasantly cool.
I had such a busy day yesterday, everything unplanned apart from the Tesco shop.
I decided to clean the kitchen (not the inside of cupboards) and did that feeling thoroughly ashamed of the colour of the rinsing water. It looks so clean now!
Before going shopping, I put a load of teatowels to wash. Successful shop, including 8kg of sugar, which was then carried out of the car by two very kind painters who had been blocking my exit. I gave one a jar of piccalilli and the other some marmalade.
Once unpacked, I started on my boiled fruitcake. Lunch, then three small batches of marmalade - and fruitcake in the already warm oven.
I was exhausted by then so sat for the rest of the afternoon/evening.
Today seems to have packed itself. At 3, I have an appointment here with the chiropodist, at 4 a meeting in the church with fete planning - I’m doing the catering. And finally, at 5, my FAB bunch and I are having dinner in a pub in the other village in the opposite direction to my church! I shall be wiped out - with all that walking if nothing else!
Hope you manage as quiet day, r&l, enjoy TDF Mick.
Stay cool, be happy, Carpe diem everyone 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from s somerset, nice sunny day today

Silly me, at 7pm I only went to dead head roses and cut the roses back, it took me over an hour and I have 4 large trugs full for compost heaps. Then I spied my rosemary plants, suddenly overgrown again and there I was. just before dusk, two are hacked back and 3 pop up containers are full for the tip

I threw water around the roots of those two plants as I will be digging/prising them out later today. I will still have one rosemary left but that one seems to be more controllable.

Anyway I noticed something on my skin, revealed by viscious roses scraping me. I did not sleep very well because of that and will give it a day or two and then have it investigated. I will have to go private because our local doctor service is atrocious and I cannot be waiting weeks

It was very peaceful here all day and I finished my new caftan by 11 am. The third one by Ateler Jupe called Lynn. The fabric is so nice, breathable and drapey, I think it is a linen/viscose. One of my bargain finds from Rainbow fabrics. £16.50 for that dress

I was on a roll and also cut out a pattern I have had for a long time, also by AJ but this time is a toile and the pattern is Charlie, I only have the 3/4 sleeves left to sew. I used a soft -backed fabric, not a grown-up colour but it was in a subscription box I used to get and waste not want not

Early riser today and I intend to drive early to the allotment, to offload all the rose cuttings, A much needed brown fill for the compost bins, they need brown as well as green

I am going to be busy digging those pesky plants out today but will be avoiding the sun. Luckily lunches are easy these days, cold food

Good morning everyone from what promises to be a sunny Anglesey.

My friend arrived at 6pm last night, having left Canvey Island at 9.30am.
Once the little chap was settled in bed we had a good chin wag. In over 40 years we've never run out of chat! 😁

I'm the same about keeping the petrol tank topped up, Bellasnana, but my marker is at a quarter of the tank. My logic is that if 1 of my children needed me in the middle of the night, the last thing I'd want to be worrying about is where is open for petrol.

Perhaps your late evening gardening was leading you to spot the thing you're concerned about on your arm, Karma. Hope you manage to get it checked quickly.

I've survived the 1st night on the sofa bed and it's fine. My friend tried to say she'd be fine on it but I just feel that she's made so much effort to visit, the least I can do is ensure she's comfy.

We're going to stay fairly local today.

Hope everyone has the best day possible. Take care. 🌻

Good morning it is cloudy and 18° here with a high of 30° expected.

The Imp is still sound asleep, no rush this morning as it’s not his usual 8am start. Instead it’s 8.45.

He and the 11yr old got their reports yesterday, I am one very proud Granny 👵

No plans other than trying on my finger shopping dresses that arrived yesterday, fingers crossed they fit 🤞

Thinking of our poorly friends and those with troubles 🌸

Good morning from a very warm corner of La Sarthe where we arrived early evening yesterday after a very smooth crossing (you were right, Jaxjacky!) and an easy journey. Thank you all for the good wishes yesterday.

All is well here, with the corn in the neighbouring field as high as the proverbial elephant's eye! DH is always relieved to find his home and car are in one piece. He was so impressed with my Ford Puma that he bought himself one last month!

Today we must collect the cat from the cattery and shop for groceries.

Have a good day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from the NE Mids. Another hot day forecast for here too. I’m presently having my morning cup of tea having already downed 500ml of water. Also planning on doing the ironing before I take a shower. We are off to do the food shopping after breakfast before the heat gets too intense.
Have a good day one and all!

Good morning from Belfast where it promises to be another lovely day.
Yesterday morning it was quite cool but the afternoon was sunny Alexa tells me it is 15 rising to 22 this afternoon.
I bought a strimmer and yesterday I went around everything that needed tidying up.
I had borrowed my DD s .
DH does cut the grass but doesn't see the edges !!!!
I found some rhubarb so I will cook that to day.
Tomatoes in the poly tunnel aren't doing well as expected.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Sheffield

Up in a mo to take the sausages out for a walk.

This morning I am going to our large shopping mall to the Apple Store. I have had an iPad for several years but have recently got the latest model.
I’m sure I’m not using it to its full potential. Apple do free classes on how to use their products so I am going on the course for iPads this morning.
I may peruse a few shops while I’m there, it would be a shame not to take advantage.
The rest of the day is my own so I will see what it brings

Karma hope your fears are ungrounded and it’s something easily sorted
Take care everyone flowers
