Butterfly grabbers , for scaredy cat

Ok I’m scared of them , they flutter !!!
If one flies in I’m out !
Usually there’s someone about , but today no one ,
so I’m outside , patio door open and the fluttering is on a window at right angles to the door
Tapping the window to get it to move and fly out
It will only fly up and dow the window
Can anyone suggest a gadget to safely catch it and take it out
I know about the glass and bit of card , but I’m too chicken to get that near !!
A suggestion for catching it on the next occasion it flys in would be very gratefully received

I have thought hard aggie but can’t help you.
Butterflies are so fragile that I think grabbing them with anything would damage/kill them.
I’m not much help I know but I am not scared by gentle flying things only birds in the house when my cat brings them in and let’s them go. since have a hunting cat I can even deal with mice.
I hope you find a solution soon although the season for them will soon be over.

Would you feel better about using the glass/card method if you wore rubber gloves so it didn’t touch your skin? I can’t pick up worms with my bare hands but gloves I can do! Otherwise a butterfly net?

I did think you were asking for butterfly toys for cats, at first. grin

I love butterflies and will help them out of the house…..but MOTHS! Urgh! I’m terrified 😂😂
