For those that may not be aware this is UK Heritage Week 11-20 September.

There are hundreds of events, talks, walks and access to buildings, gardens etc that are not normally open to the public.

We have been to some fascinating places and learned a lot about our local area, some National Trust properties are free to enter during Heritage Week.

Here’s a link for anyone interested.

We've visited many places that aren't usually open during this week over the years.
This year we've concentrated on churches that are within walking distance of home that we've not yet entered. We've learned a lot, met some lovely people and been given coffee and cake.

Good to hear, our local council are not very good at promoting these events!

The National Trust has been disappointing this year. I looked online at my nearest only to find that their free entry was the previous weekend!
